$tella 4000XG is $2550
$tella C3000XG is $2500

Is the 4000XG a tad too heavy to switch to medium/light applications when needed ?...if it is, then i think i'll wait for the c3000xg

I molested the 4000xg. Nothing compared to my Vanquish 4000xg.

What do you guys usually use xg for? This is gg to be my first high speed spinner.

Can we slow down for deep dive lures?

1full turn of the handle make the rotor spin complete 5.3times(PG) or 6.4times(XG) not much different. Can try it at your own spining reel now.

PG and XG does have a big difference especially for deep diving lures. The handle turn may seem insignificant but if you do casting for half a day you will notice that for deeper lures you need more energy to crank the lures.

You can slow down but the problem is in the cranking power. Unlike baitcasters where you can change to a longer handle for more torque, spinning you are stuck with the same handle biggrin.gif

But a stella c3000xg should be able to cover topwater to midwater depth right?
