So another year is gonna end. What fishing equipment did you regret buying this year? And what you should have bought instead?

As for me, I regret buying the Abu revo ltx. Should have just followed my heart and gotten the px68 instead which I eventually did.
*
regrets if any would be the Shimano scorpion XT, since I'm living in Sabah, not much of a hotspot for freshwater casting i'm afraid. shakehead.gif

can't the scorpxt be used for saltwater?
*
Shimano claims its saltwater-safe which requires more regular maintenance but from reports i've heard, its quite finicky in saltwater.Hope im wrong though

wut do you guys think about the daiwa zillion type r? I had the opportunity to play around with the reel last week and was pretty much impressed with the thing...

there was also the zillion PE special but comes with a shallow spool, how does the two fare against e/o?

The Tatula type R is a sweet toy, coming soon to KK sometime ( i dunno when), but while researching similar reels from this category, I 'discovered' Shimano's latest offer - again i'm hopelessly infected, looks like i'm prolly selling my scorpion soon... doh.gif

that pond cant really say which bait will work on that day, all i try also land fish before
just that sometimes you need to guess which bait is their appetite for that day.....

usually i bring all flavor , i and 2 more friend always make different flavor
to avoid being same  , with 3 rod 3 different flavor see which 1 got more activity
then we know that day the fish tend to take which flavor.

if you dont want buy all , then go for the soya 1st

this week i m heading over , you wanna join me ????
bro just a reminder that geng niaga FB page quite alot of conman lurking

just on the safe side never bank in any money , ALWAYS ASK FOR COD
*
thanks for the advice, i think i'll head out to the Shimano store tommorow and do a pre-order... the fact that a fair number of ppl having the chronarch ci4 is a good omen that the model is available in local markets .

Sweet deal indeed.

Was thinking of getting either the chronarch or the tatula.  rclxub.gif

Chronarch is an icast winner last year but the tatula type r is an interesting concept nontheless, but i suggest the tatula r then we can compare-

heya guys,

Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend. However, after doing some amount of solo expeditions, I've come across some what you would call as 'empty freshwater' ponds and lakes around KK which I've decide to 'adopt' as new angling haunts, provided there isn't any of them nuisance netters around.

a wide but shallow one, seems cool for snakeheads.

But before adding predators, just wondering if you guys know any suitable baitfish species. I wanna introduce some protein for the snakeheads but am quite stumped for choice. There's the humble koruk, tilapias and sepat, but do you guys know any local species that breed fast and shoal in big numbers? I know its a technical question, but i'm sure you guys can help me out with some pointers so i know woat to look out when visiting the local aquarium shop tommorow biggrin.gif

fishing in Australia! Happy days!

Missed that place! had heaps of fun during uni, fishing everything from black bream, tailor and squid at Freemantle. Alas, even after all this while, haven't scored a pink snapper yet! laugh.gif

dont forget to post your CR expeditions and share them with us here, watch out for drunks tho.

Bro OlgaC4,
Not so true on the RM500. Best you call your forwarding agents to find out the HS code.

I have brought in items more than RM5,000 without taxation due to the proper HS code declared.
*
Bro rorytate,

Did you declare the item less tham RM 500 ? I'm actually planning to bring in a reel from Japan this month but im wondering if i should include a HS code.

Would you recommend including a HS code and then declare the item less than RM 500?
