swype looks promising at first, very nice button placement. lost of predictions appear.
but then i realize it doesnt predict next word very smart. many times it predict nonsense and unrelated words.
end up making more mistake.

swiftkey predict 3 words only, but many times those are the words i want to type next.

example i wana type "wan tan mee", after i type "wan", it predicts the next 2 word as the first option, knowing i always use this word. swiftkey also memorize buildings, location that i always type. another example, it predicts "canai" after "roti", and "lemak" after i type "nasi", it can also do "pasar" "malam", which is really good.

swype just doens't do that for me. i already used it for 1 week, should be enough time for it to learn my habbits.
it only predict normal english grammer, but not custom terms.

another thing i notice is swype might be using more battery.
swiftkey never appear in my battery usage. but swype appear to use as much as whatsapp in my battery usage.

swype no google voice shortcut, it uses dragon something for voice, which sucks.

the only downside of swiftkey is no chinese language. i need to switch to googel pinyin ime for chinese input. but thats not too troublesome for me since i rarely type chinese. swype can directly switch to chinese which is very convenient.

i think coz one uses word prediction whereas the other is word correction.

i personally like word correction over prediction coz so far, most of my words dun get predicted correctly (not just with Swift, but with others too) <-- maybe i just dun think & speak logically... hahaha...

for me, correction on swype is one of the best. press on word and a list appears. just need to select the correct word. plus, i really swype rather than type. so, swype is much easier for me. i could never seem to get that continuous sentence thing on swift to work (where you just swipe over the space to enter a space in your sentence <-- errr, this one is swiftkey, right?!?) wink.gif

but ya, to each, his own. i know many who say they type better than swipe, etc... some even used to only the old numeric style kinda keyboard shocking.gif so... as long as the smartphone can let us choose the keyboard we like, its a good smartphone. oops... i just whacked other brands... blush.gif rolleyes.gif

i havent seen it, but based on the 1st gear, i can say these things I will not use for definite
1. the gear cam, urgh
2. s-voice, i dont even use on phone, frozen
3. gear call, makes me look like an idiot talking to my wrist
4. color screen, to me is fancy for it's purpose, and shortens battery life span

things i WILL use, notification alerts, and clock face, might be that's all, that's why the pebble is handy, simplistic and straight forward

all agree except number 3
is a good feature, no need to take out phone to accept call
example, when berak got somebody call you can swipe the watch to accept the call whistling.gif

Kitkat was made to support lower specs Android phone...

wonder why these phone makers decide not to release it to their older phone?

Hey guys, i don't know whether the question i'm gonna ask has been answered before. I bought the S3 last december 2013, it's SME set. I want to let go this S3 since i will upgrade to Note 2. I've lost the receipt and warranty card but the e-warranty has been registered as i've checked thru sms. If let say the next owner wanna claim warranty, they can just straight away go to Samsung Centre right without needing me to claim the warranty?

I'm using temasek s3 CM11.0 4.4 Rom (Nice rom!)
The email app that I'm using is from the stock rom. (multiple accounts)

Condition:
1. NO syncing at background
2. Sync/refresh only automatically when I open the app.

What settings should I chose?
Currently I had disabled sync. Every time I had to swipe down and refresh to get my new emails for every account.

dude, kesian la. you all the time hoping for the 'next' android version.
why not you just enjoy the current version? after all you spend more than 6 months waiting for 4.2, and suddenly you get 4.3. rejoice la.

this is not nexus or google edition phone, getting latest OS is not possible.
if you do want latest, aosp rom are the way to go. you cant get best of everything, sure got compromise one.

the key is to be happy with what you have
