i have a hunch that samsung will say s3 wont get kitkat.

because kitkat has on screen 3dot menu button which cant be removed. thats why newer galaxy tabs and notes have "recent app" capacitive button instead of menu capacitive button

they will give excuse like s3 already have capacitive menu button, upgrading it to kitkat will confuse users with 2 menu button.

You can also use rom toolbox app manager, to set touch wiz launcher, or any system to have lower oom killer. (Out of memory)

This will keep that app in memory as long as it can. Hence less redraw. Anyway, I use nova which never redraw itself

s3 even over clock to 1.6GHz also cant get that high.

it's kindda pointless. the total time needed is very long.

need wait it reboot first time. (else it wont work)
then go recovery flash TB zip, wait moderate long time.
reboot
wait TB app optimize everything, wait very long time.

might as well log in play store, and restore. less hassle.
just press restore and wait 10+ minutes. done.

yesterday i flash archidroid samsung touch wiz one. used it from morning till night, i feel sien waiting for things to open.
i send lots of whatsapp, but everytime tap the homescreen shortcut to whatsapp someone, need wait a little longer. everything is smooth but have tiny delay compared to temasek. its not big difference, but noticeable enough to be annoying.

archidroid also get somewhere around 18k, which is same as temasek.
nexus 4 antutu is between 17k-18k, but trust be the nexus 4 is way more responsive than s3 is every aspect. these score doesn't really make any sense nor does it represent real world usage.

weird news that moto G beat nexus 4 in antutu. shows how unreliable antutu is

imo, processing speed is already very good, the limiting factor is probably the read write speed of the internal memory.

i'm using archidroid for almost 2 days.
actually its not that bad, apart from some UI difference, and some jittery in scrolling.

but one very strange thing is the bluetooth. when connected to bluetooth speaker, the wifi will get disconnected suddenly after awhile.

both touch wiz and cm11 temasek also have music stutter, about 1 second stutter every 10 minutes, minor annoyance but still ok for me.

but wifi disconnect is serious, already happen 4 times since 6pm. on touch wiz rom, bluetooth and wifi cant work together? i thought android 4.3 support bluetooth low energy. cm11 temasek wifi never disconnect when listening to bluetooth music

not very impressed with touch wiz due to this problem.

4.4.2 got camera bug? temasek v37 no such bug. it was gone since v24. made a return between v34-35 i think due to face detection. but gone again after v36 after he remove face detection.
wifi tethering is working, i often use it with superbeam to send files.

archidroid is very smooth. i used it just recently. almost became my daily driver, i want to have mhl and sbeam because cny coming, but left due to bluetooth and wifi problem. when listening to bluetooth music, wifi gets disconnected.

contact and dialer takes long time to load is a touch wiz feature. all touch wiz phone also take couple of seconds to appear. u can always use dialer EX, a great looking and fast dialer app. its free and theme-able btw

touch wiz rom should be quite same among all the flavors. very stable and good battery life.
dont understand why you say omega rom got battery drain and lag.

i never use active notification and lock screen notification. so no such issue.

sammy 4.3 neeed newer modem, if not cant connect to network
when i flash archidroid samsung rom, in the aroma option got mention.
it change to XUGMK6. now still using this modem even on temasek.

you using which cam in temasek? try the slim camera. extract from their slimkat rom and put in /system/app
the best aosp cam so far.

when they remain silent, most likely problem solved already

if still got issue sure continue to make noise

duno why people in xda freak out when temasek say wana quit.
his rom i start using since v18 i think.
no major change also. every nightly no difference also.
you'll just feel happier reading the changelog only.

after 20 versions, only 2 feature i appreciate having, custom carrier label and swipe anywhere to flip to quick settings.

not saying that his work is no good, its just that it was already very good since the begining. nothing left for him to add already. he continue producing nightly that makes no changes also no point.

been a happy temasek rom user since v18. glad that i dont have to change to new nightly anymore.

big reason why i hate hate hate touch wiz launcher.
nova launcher better, got option to keep in memory to prevent redraw
