RM790 consider cheap. Lazada selling one RM899 with 3months warranty.

One of my friends bought himself one through Agents direct ship from China also RM720. Not sure about how warranty works if ship back to China, so if yours offer local warranty (mean he bear the costs ship back to China repair) means consider good.

sellers said got 6 months local warranty.. any queries can put Q&A there..

Because not every consumer are like us who surf LYN or Google to do research on what their need or how it works. I'm not saying Sharp products was bad, but if you are Asthma / Allergy people, should not even think or use the Plasma Cluster aka Ionizer. Should pick those came with HEPA filter, if combo with Carbon filter would be even better.

Or else, you are pretty much good to go pick few of those.

interesting..

just like some said their air purifier can detect fart smell, if my room got odor of "men's" smell, do u think this will help eliminate it ? or will go back to square 1 after turn off?

also , i did some reading on other threads.. some point to consider b4 getting xiaomi:

1) warranty (short warranty - borne by importers)
2) filter spare part can get after few years?
should these by a concern or im thinking way too ahead? lol

To eliminate smell, you need Carbon Filter, just like the one inside Xiaomi Air Purifier, I'm using Atmosphere by Amway, got the same Carbon Filter to filter those Odour / VOC etc...

Warranty for Xiaomi, if got offer by importers like 3 - 6months considers good. Even spareparts can import from China too, well is made in China, nothing much to worry especially Xiaomi products. Those few years ago spareparts for Xiaomi Smartphone still do exists. So not much worry. If a electronics products can use up to 3years, and especially made in China, are considered very good. Most products are designed EOL within 2 years, or else how to make more money from consumers if the products can last 20years? Remember a Air Conditioner brand called "National" that are last long and good? Well that company no longer exists. LOL Mine using like almost 20years and still using in my master bedroom.

Need suggestions from you guys.

Hall: 286 sq ft (26 sq m)
Room: 120 sq ft (11 sq m)

Quite a lot of dust at home (windows/ sliding door always open), plus need to filter out cat fur (quite a lot at times, can see on the couch and sofas), and my human bulu also laugh.gif

Budget roughly RM1200 for both.
Obviously a bigger unit for the hall and a smaller one for the room.

At least something easy to use, with washable filters perhaps?

Thanks.

Clean dust : look for HEPA filter
Fresh air : no such thing. Air purifiers only filter stuff from the air in the room. It cannot generate new air. For fresh air, either open a window or add an exhaust fan installed in reverse blowing fresh air in. But the air will only be as fresh as the air outside your window. If you're living next to a busy road, it wouldn't be very nice. No purifier can remove CO, NO, or whatever poison pumped out by vehicle exhausts. They only remove particulate matter, not gases. The only way to get fresh air is to live so high that you're actually above the city smog (which my own house used to be but isn't anymore, 12km from KL city center, and atop a small hill) or you relocate to a geographic position far enough in the countryside that you have fresh air outside your window.

Mind sharing where you buy and how much? Planning to buy also.

Where to get the filter replacement? Is there an English app to control the filter?
