do u guys get ping spikes too?
mine ping like crazy, first 40 then 100 then 335 then 999
wadafaq can't play any server at all
just asking coz played BF3 b4 nvr get this ping that high
me use streamyx 5mbps kut, also not enuff ka?

I think you might have something running in background. Start ping google before you play BF4. When you see high ping in BF3, alt+ tab out and see if ping changes to 999+ms. If so, use Resource monitor to check which application causes the ping spike.

What's your CPU?

ping in BF3 around 40-80
ping in BF4 from 50-380
checked the task manager, din see any process using network except origin and the BF4
i even use low setting for Bf4 in case if my graphic setting make it laggy..improved a bit but still lag..

Try restart modem, n make sure no 1 using it only u.
N play the game.

This is horrible, wish I'd read the multiplayer reviews before buying. 9/10 times I cannot connect to game. i think it's ridiculous that bf4 doesn't have an in game server browser, and you have to join every game from your browser. Jesus f***ing christ EA

if it happens on SG servers, then u got issues somewhere.
if it happens on jap servers, then its normal

in my case, all servers like that
at first good ping around 50-60, afterwards spiked to 160-180, then 300, then back to 60, cycle repeated

if u using wifi, then dont.
cable always better.

cable lowered the ping by 30% i'll say..smoother than before but still lagging of course..also, i experienced no sound during playing in certain server..what did DICE fixed anyway in recent update?

ya that day one server i played on got no sound, can only hear motion sensor.

need help. can't launch the game. the blue bar saying initialize or joining server etc, then it disappears. anybody face this before and solved it?

That's already quite decent imho.

it is a known bug since Day 1.

Connecting....

Error: Could not connect to server

Reason: Corrupted player slot

9/10 times you were trying to connect to 64/64 with queuing, 63/64, 62/64, or even 60/64.

if the server admin does not restart the server daily the corrupted slots will accumulate.

want to get 10/10 successful connection? Try a 0/64 server, and you will get the msg "Loading Level" flawlessly.

to get yourself less frustrated, find a server that is about to end, and players will start leaving, 50/64 will give you a very high chance.

also, the time between Connecting... and Loading Level... is around 4-5 seconds, if it hangs at Connecting for more than 10 seconds, immediately press the X on the far right to save time and try another server.
