QUOTE(carloz28 @ Jan 6 2014, 07:38 PM) Suarez's exit clause has been revealed; If Liverpool fails to qualify for CL end of the season, El Pistolero will be granted the right to nego if Barca or Real come knocking, or for min transfer fee of 70mil. Yes you heard it right, only 70mil pounds to pry the prized striker from the clutches of Reds. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/footb...ur-mill-6471055Worry not, we still have Iago Aspas then liverpool will be in the bottom 10

QUOTE(leftist @ Jan 6 2014, 05:47 PM) not necessarily suarez..he can cover sturridge too..as long as its not on the wing! Wherever you play Suarez or Sturridge, they can score. It is not a matter of playing Aspas in the striker role. It is a matter of him shooting to the right hole.

QUOTE(kenlimfornication @ Jan 7 2014, 08:59 AM) Only watched the highlights. Henderson...made some impressive Gerrard like passes. Promising. He's been doing so the past few games especially when Stevie was sidelined. Kudos to the lad for proving his early doubters wrong, me included. In my opinion he's earned his first team spot and I'd have him play as often as possible. He's got such a big engine and like Suarez, can seemingly play every game. In fact, he has. I wonder how much ground he covers on average. Does anyone have that stat?

I frankly don't give a crap about the mancs at this point.
To summarise my thoughts in their collapse (and any wandering manc is welcomed to dispute my opinion), I think it has to do with Moyes trying to get them to play more direct instead of the passing game Fergie preferred. The mancs were a menace when they pinged passes about and players zipped around the park. They were so quick, defenders couldn't keep up. Now, they have become more one-dimensional but direct football is what got Everton to where they were last season and the reason Moyes rose to prominence. His problem is he doesn't have the personnel for this brand of football which is why he bought Fellaini who is struggling because the rest of his mates are coming to terms with Moyes' style of play. Well the mancs picked Moyes knowing what they'd get to perhaps it's just a period of transition and they need to give him time to rebuild the squad with players that suit him.
I'm sure fans welcomed him with open arms but some fail to note that when you sign a manager, it means that the whole team will have to change and adapt to his approach to the game. Most just look at the manager's name and go, "oh goodie, he's done well at Everton" without realising that he plays a completely different type of football from Fergie and that it will take time for the team to change and adapt. It wasn't as though he was going to come in and take over from where Fergie left off. Look how we struggled last season with Rodgers and look how much the team has improved since. Hardly nuclear physics.
