Hi all, I'm new to Mac and is waiting to receive my rMBP 13' this week.. Would like to ask if there is any casing that I can get to protect my MacBook from getting scratch etc..I'm quite clumsy and have nails..so kinda scared that I'll scratch it.. But I've also heard leaving a case on can cause over heating and overtime it'll scratch your macbook too.. Any suggestion pls? Thanks

Thanks For the "case" to pun on your macbook like phone, my advice please don't and save your $$ I wasted my $200+ on Speck case finally goes naked. Why? Because case will add bulky to your macbook, increase heating overtime. Yeah, me too got scared when scratch, but it will show the vintage of the product hehe. My advice is, get sleeve for your macbook like i did rite now. I just get rm 10 sleeve to cover my macbook when use it

I tried bootcamp once and I know the heat is crazy.

If your nails could scratch the aluminium unibody, then you rather off becareful with ur nails on your body.

Just check in activity monitor and see if there is any processes that is taking up lot of CPU %. If mdworker is the one, it means spotlight is still indexing your drive.

Unlike handphones, laptops can generate much more heat and it is better to let it go caseless for better air ventilation Do get a sleeve for it instead if you are going to be carrying it along everywhere Though you could check this out if you are interested: https://www.twelvesouth.com/product/bookboo...book-air-retina

QUOTE(quadcube @ Jan 9 2014, 02:41 PM) depends on u,i'm also using a 286ppi smartphone, well.beautiful i can say,u won't sees single pixel at normal viewing range,if u are viewing at 15cm(length of ruler) from the screen, then u will see a bit of the icon edge, but who would look at the screen so closely for long term for me,i'm studying engineering,i need the hardware power rather than fancy display, thus i went with an i7,256,8gb ram depends on what u do with it in the end,if u don't need processing power with <4k budget,i would get the retina macbook pro Agree with this... The engine is more important than the display, except, they are too different and make your eyes problem. I want to ask, anybody here has an experience buying Macbook online? Just want to know, if we are paying via VISA, is there has GST charged?
