u not asking for 2 seat compensation rite? most brand midrange above can do.

pioneer elite mcacc got 6 memory bank.
denon marantz audyssey xt can load/ save from network ip address. i never try lah. now got fone app too.

side channel i put random pair only. after calibrate they are same
*
yeah, cos i watch movie drama i will lie on the bed, but i play game i will sit further in front using my computer chair, it is much closer to the TV. i am planning to buy denon x1600h tho. so actually the room correction will try to actually match the sound profile of all the speakers right? any side channel to recommend ka? i see pioneer bs22 is cheap and well recommended but worried too big. need something small and light. polk signature s10 too expensive sad.gif

audyssey xt got multi seat compensation, you can put calibrator in front or beside after 1st position is saved. no need change profile one.

if you insist to, then research a bit on network function or app (it cost rm80 i just found zzzzz).
yes the program is modify all speakers.

side channel if u want to buy, recommend to match brand, diammeter, material of front channel, else any random pair are sufficient. audyssey will modify the Eq for everything to cinema style
*
ok.. if match then need to be big lol.. ok i just pick 1 and try. wow the app so expensive lol. but i think x1600h no support the app.. only s750h.. so weird, lower range support but higher range no support.

so u mean even if the 1st position and 2nd position is big difference, the compensation will do its magic?

In an AV receiver? Sort of, but not exactly. Yamaha Aventage (top 3 models only) allows you to set different "patterns" which acts like presets that you calibrate. You can switch between them anytime, but you do need to work a bit to calibrate twice for 2 different listening positions. That said, it doesn't work perfectly because although the PEQ you can be saved for 2 different presets, the speaker levels and distance (delay) will remain the same.

What you are describing can only be done with an external DSP module - like a minidsp for example.
*
i see.. then need to compromise, not having a perfect room is like tat lol.

Try to check this out. Cheap and good speakers. About RM750 per speaker. So 1 pair is about RM1500.

this out of budget lol.. neeed something 500-600 only to try out the surround.

i forgotten.... extra position only compensate EQ & level not distance (affect each channel speed). sorry ssj Ben is correct.

since you sit very front during game, speed will not be linear.
need to save & load audyssey from computer or usb <- either way it will take a long time like 10++ minits process :x

pioneer elite one built in memory. just load on the go.
*
ah damn..like tat need think again how to do this.. arrgh.

Get a minidsp lol. Fixes all these dumb artificial locks that AVR manufacturers put into their system.

With a minidsp you can set up multiple presets, for all kind of situations. You can change presets (that you set up) at anytime. Honestly after I got a minidsp, I don't really care about the type of AVRs anymore. They're just so... weak and archaic.
*
minidsp which one a? minidsp is like pre-amp?

Yes it makes sense IMO to get a minidsp even if you only have 1 sub. No auto room correction on the mainstream receivers are good enough to solve bass issues anyway. MiniDSP isn't going to fix everything inherrent with single sub problems though. You will still have to do some work to intergrate the sub as best as possible with the rest of your room.

UMIK-1 is only a mic, it doesn't do anything for you other than measure and let you know what's wrong with your system. I see that you are using a PB2000 and not a Pro, so you can't use the SVS app to dial in the PEQ needed from the data you get with REW. If you're going to use the Audyssey app with your receiver, I think you might as well just stick with Audyssey and not buy anything.

Get the whole package of minidsp 2x4HD + UMIK1 if you can.

Boss, mind to clarify, i cant understand how u hook up this minidsp to your system. I dont see hdmi all i see is toslink and rca. thanks

Got my elac sub3010, definitely much better than the psb subseries 125 better, the subwoofer tends to blend in better and the rumbling is tight And not only feel bass but with definition. The only thing is it comes with spike foot only and my floor is old school hard wood type, i am purchasing svs soundpath feet for my subwoofer.

Now i revert back to 2.1 as i tried to switch around with centre and without, the sound is abit diff. And i macam get better positioning And soundstage And surround effect without Centre. Felt like if i use center, the sound will like pin point out from center, but i use without center, the sound will macam come from TV. I tried to do YPAO already with centre. My TV sit above my center tho, now become my TV riser lol.

Okies.

Btw wanna ask that should i use power filter like weiduka ac2.2 or ac8.8? I saw other av forum saying that power filter is okay for TV and like console which provide cleaner signal but if run amp or av receiver or amplifier over it may have impact on the soundstage and dynamic.

So i not sure i should buy 1 now or not..

i tested a few combination. amp & tv connect to unfilter port =best.
so meaning that extension is not effective to my usage.
rather spend on heavvy duty wall socket, plug top & fat cable
*
Ohh ok.. so extension i just buy any shud be ok?

the china filter was a gift from fren. similar shape to weiduka.
i dont like becos not independant switch & no improvement.
i open inside see quite neat work, and then i did something (lupa) to the wire loop in between each outlet
*
okies.. thinking buying this one comes with surge protector and also got individual switch

Guys for side surround, is this creative minx 12 good? Or boston soundware xs? Need a small and light one. I see minx21 is like 200sgd per pair, sounds reasonable to me. But the frequency response is 150-20k, if i set80hz crossover will have problem? Since this is just side surround i think shouldnt be a problem right.

just saw stylelaser selling x1600h+ polk s10e signature and free polk assist around 3.3k... seems like very worth the money since the s10e already cost rm1.5k but i know msia this is super overpriced la..

What are your front speakers? Try to match your front speakers exactly if possible, meaning buy a single unit and use as centre speaker. If not possible, the find a matching centre for your front speakers. If this also cannot then only find a centre speaker that at least uses similar drivers to your front speakers.
*
my speaker setup is jumbled.. lol. front is WAF-1 from Danny Ritchie, its a DIY speaker bought from some forumer here. Then my centre is a whooping X-CS centre speaker weight 33lbs which is so big that my 55inch TV can sit on it. This centre is a matching centre for X-LS encore. i am thinking of downsizing everything, but i wanna start with changing my centre because it is too big for my liking.

These are the review of my waf-1 https://www.highfidelityreview.com/tweak-city-waf-1.html this is X-CS centre https://www.highfidelityreview.com/av123-x-...el-speaker.html

Specifications:

System: 2-way, direct-radiating system, vented enclosure w/rear port
Finishes: Rosewood (wood veneer) Drivers:
Tweeter = .787” inch (20mm) dome tweeter
Woofer = 5.25” inch (133.35 mm) doped paper cone woofer Crossover point between tweeter and woofer 2000Hz Frequency Response:
Port Open: 50Hz – 20kHz, +/- 3db from 65Hz to 18kHz
Seal port for wall mounting; works with 80Hz crossover point
Impedance: 8 Ohms nominal Efficiency: 86db (@ 1 watt / 1 meter) Grill: Recessed; removable
Cabinet: MDF
Dimensions: 10.5″ H x 7″ W x 10″ D (approx.)
Weight: 11 lbs each. Shipping Weight: 26 lbs. per pair
Additional Info: Video Shielding: No (matters only for CRT/tube TV’s)
Price: $229 Available with Gizmo 1.0 amp for $309

Or should i look for SVS prime series? monitor audio tends to sounds brighter maybe less matching with my WAF-1 which i tend to slowly by the front speaker because i need space on my TV console so i have to change my centre.. and i am thinking if i buy monitor audio series, maybe i can upgrade my front to monitor audio silver later when i have the budget, which should have better match with the bronze centre.
