Which Klipsch sub?

The only Klipsch sub that I feel is fairly decent is the R112SW. But honestly, it isn't priced too well - another 800-900 and you can get yourself a PB2000/PC2000.

Will consider your suggestion thumbup.gif but i think the room is too small for that pb2000 n aldy got 1 pb2000 in another room

Maybe just get an SB1000 then?

Room dimensions would be helpful to suggest a sub.

Not comparable. Different sub design (sealed vs ported), different driver design, different amp, different dimensions.

If you are asking how much the SB1000 can output in comparison to the PB2000, then it's about nearly 4x less output below 25hz. Only above 50hz the SB1000 is about 3db off the PB2000 in output.

Maybe, can consider Emotiva BasX S10 at RRP Rm2259 but you need to demo it to find out how's the performance...

I've set it up and heard it at my relative's house in the US, it's a potent little entry level sub as long as the room size isn't too big (below 1400 cu.ft).

So now that Maxx HT has brought them in - there is one less reason to buy fart boxes. This is the sub for those that moan/bitch/complain about wanting good bass but not wanting to spend money.

Thanks for your info bro... yeah maybe can consider this for smaller room size. Btw, any experience with Monolith subs? The Monolith 15" THX Ultra Subwoofer seems tempting...

They were just recently announced, I wasn't even at CEDIA so zero experience with them. That said, on paper - the specs does look pretty promising. I don't think Monoprice has any reason to lie about their product's specs either, considering their other audio products were very well received.

Room size and dimension please when asking for recommendation.

Does that budget have to include the receiver and display as well or is it just solely for the speakers?

It's approximately 13ft width x 13ftlength x 10 ft height.... budget does include receiver without the display but maybe a bit flexible to top up 1-2k extra. Thanks alot.

For the height speakers, are you planning on on-wall near ceiling placement or in-ceiling placement?

With a fairly healthy budget like that, you have several options. Prices are estimate, better to check with dealers for the best pricing.

A simple Klipsch Setup:
RP160m L/R (RM2.5k)
RP250c Center (RM1.7k)
RP240s Surrounds (RM2k)
SVS PB2000 sub (RM4.5k)
Denon x2300w AVR (RM2.8k)

Above is just a standard recommendation. You can mix and match speakers for your surrounds and height channels, it doesn't absolutely have to be of the same design family.

There are other speakers to check out from the likes of ELAC UNI-FI line, SVS Prime, DefTech, QAcoustics, and Wharfedale just to name a few.

Just one general tips is speaker is the heart of the system. Getting the correct one will last you very long time. Anyway a speaker that is good for music will be good for HT but not the other way round. Hope you find what you need

For Atmos speakers you need to consider if you want
1. upfiring Dobly atmos
2. ceiling mounted
3. wall mounted

For 1 & 2 ceiling will need to be plaster/ flat w/o fan in the middle

For AV Amp you will need to consider if you want to go up to 5.1.4?

I think he mentioned 5.1.2 setup, that sounds like atmos.
