Hi,

I'm trying to add a pair of speakers for a second zone (kitchen/up stairs hall) and I'm looking for some wires.

a) The distance is at least 15m.
b) Can drive 6 ohm floor stand / bookshelf speakers.
c) White in color to blend with the walls and floors.
d) Budget up to RM10/meter.

Can someone recommend what and where to buy some proper wires
1) What size of wires I need?
2) Where can I buy them in Klang Valley or on-line?

I would have bought those common wires sold in electrical shops if not for the crazy green/pink/silver colors that they use.

Is the sound significant different for floorstand over bookshelf? Thinking of save the extra 2k++ for a good sub

lol if go for Floorstand, temporary use back my old pioneer 12 inch sub. Next only change the sub
Btw, floorstand zensor 5 vs 7, which 1 should go to match my Zensor Vokal? Is the Zensor 7 (7 inch woofer) make a big difference over Zensor 5 (5.25 inch)?

If the price is not much difference definitely will go for floorstand
But the quoted price for Zensor 5 or Zensor 7 triple the price of Zensor 1, so really need auditioning before make the decision.

Most probably will go for DZ 7 cause different by few hundreds only compare to DZ 5 if I chosen floorstand. Btw, since all my speaker can handle below 60Hz,  should I set the crossover at 60Hz or 80Hz as recommended by THX?

Yeah,  80Hz should be good enough. You interested on DZ 7?

Setting the cross over must be determine by your speakers and sub capability. Recommendation is a guide line. Wrong setting meaning there some freq that will be missing or too much overlap

After ran audyssey calibration, the crossover was set to 40Hz which doesn't match to my speaker
So what front speaker you bought after gave up DZ 7?

Front speaker no choice have to go for DZ cause current center and surround are DZ.  Might consider sub and avr if higher offer

Using Pioneer SM800 floors stand but not that impressive. Was looking at Velodyne sub. What avr you recommend for DZ speaker?

Current sub 12 inches dual ported at living hall

Only 1 sub with 2 reflex hole the low end frequency is OK until the door can vibrate but lack of punchy bass.

Yeah,  was tested the SVS sub at Actsessory subang Jaya and quoted pb1000 nearly 3k. But looking for bigger sub to replace current pioneer sub,  dont want mix the sub
