If only can bring back home to trial. I ask the shop, they say cannot eventhough they admit what you hear in shop is different to what you hear at home... then how would I know what I'm hearing? 

Oh damn. Even more headache now. I don't even know how or what it means to measure the room. Use what to measure and how can I interpret the results?      

Damn this HT project is quite complicated.

I have a pair of Wharfedale Evo 4.2 bookshelfs on pre-order expected to arrive sometime in September and recently came across a used pair of Tannoy Revolution XT8F floorstanders for a good price. I was very interested in the Tannoys for the past couple of years but the retail price in Malaysia was too high so I decided to look for other options. Now I can get a used pair for a good price but not sure whether I should get it. Since I have a pair of PSB 12 inch subs so I think I don't really need floorstanders but I personally do prefer them over standmounts. I know its not a fair comparison between a bookshelf and floorstander but since I have only paid a booking fee for the Evo 4.2, I'm thinking whether I should just go for the XT8F? I haven't heard either of them before, so some insights will be welcome.
