Tiny screen & no apple carplay/android auto. For 136k, it’s a rip off

Toyota's biggest selling point is the engine reliability, dependability, and strong resale value we reckon? smile.gif
Yes the price point is really on the high side undoubtedly, agree on that as well. smile.gif

Why new cars have that display panel sticking out by itself rather than flush with the dashboard?

Mazda's models HU are mostly sticking out by itself. smile.gif
Many other brands as well.

was looking forward to this as a good compromise between the civic and the mazda 3.

started off promising with the full Safety Sense on offer.

However, that HU really pisses me off and for a 140k car, good job UMW

yeszzaa.. me too.

i'm a bit old school, but i really like the full-size spare tyre in Toyota models (my Vios 2007 also the same),
it seems that this latest Gen Altis is also providing full-size spare (with alloy rims too, if not mistaken).

was going to turn a blind eye with the RM140k price tag, but then the HU display & bezel/wedge dashboard design behind it is just too much of an eyesore..

maybe because of viewing angle.. some car manufacturers design the dashboard to be a bit angled/curvy,
thus there's no way the display can fit inside..

voila! a stick-out HU.
