Recently when pass uneven road tiak tiak sound from from area still unmanaged to identify sound from where any idea guy
something sound like cable ticking the metal skin? did you put any tin drinks in the cup holder? i put a tin in the cup holder and something like that appears.
i heard they will not extend it for you adi? some member (IIRC) say the new car have a piece of metal sticker on the steering rack that protect it from aircond water drips
Bridgestone ecopia ep 200 brand new and after 48k km, look like easily can last another 10k km
bro, any idea on the treadwear of the Ecopia? M5 is 280, while XM2 is 420. I think since M5 able to take 60k, so ecopia could easily last longer than M5. Same to XM2.
Ecopia dont have threadwear rating but threadwear rating are rather academic since there are no international standard for it, up to manufacturer to rate their tyre. Only can compare within same brand.
On another note, me just install toyo nano energy 3 at my other car. Same ECO tyre but very different feeling.
Toyo ne03 sidewall way too soft and steering feel numb. Can feel car "walking" sideway when take corner.
I would say ecopia better tyre at least for me.
First pic ecopia, 2nd pic toyo ne03
thanks bro. perhaps by the time i need tyre replacement, you might be almost wanna replace your tyres, by then i will have a better idea on how "tahan" the Ecopia tyre is.
Dont follow my style unless you know your car ha ha
wow bro.... i'm more interested on how you pump your petrol, must be slowly pumping it in, coz shell fuel gun have a slowest setting which can easily take ages to fill up the fuel tank, but this do make sure the fuel tank fully filled.
Yup slowly pump until can see petrol at filler cap. Normally after first click i'll try pump another 5 liter. Standard parctise since me refuel full tank ever alternate day. Every drop count ha ha
you are "skillful"! can slam in another 5 liter after first click require lotsa patience! I tried once pump it to the max, was like 34 liter or something, still 7 liter shy from yours.
Yup agreed. Thats why have to know alza first, so can know the limit
but yours is fuel to the max of the max, if your trip comp is right, it's at least 2 liter of fuel in the tank, plus your 41l, it makes 43l minimum, i can imagine there's no air bubble in the fuel tank. i gotta find one day to fill up alza to the max, just to try it out. i done on myvi once, 35l (out of 40l), the fuel display is blinking for some time, it's 1st gen myvi so i have no idea how much exactly it left in the tank.
Just to show what I've been working on the past few weeks - OBD2 sensor reading on a Myvi 1.5:
Since we share the same engines this will probably work on an Alza too. Unfortunately, no chance to test on a real Alza yet
interesting! it should be same ECU for myvi 1.5 and alza due to the same engine and the output, at least the protocol is the same, you mod the protocol of the OBD reader?
Some Sifu told good break pad must use with the good disc as well, or else the disc pedal will be end up faster since the break bad contact and touching surface more sensitive
i agree to this. with good pad, it should come with good disk, vice versa. There's one time I was driving Saga BLM (manual), Ori brake rotor with Proton Ori pads (mintye brand), encounter brake fade when there is prolong braking down from Gohtong Jaya to Genting Sempah. have to drive slower and use engine braking to make the brake cool down to regain brake force.
If wanna have obd reading, have to use obd adapter/reader at obd port. For alza, at lower right dashboard, beside front bonnet opener
Yea i knew that, i thought the EDGE thingy is a OBD reader. I'm more interested on the OBD reader for Alza, For me, usually VS wasn't help much unless the car have plenty of electric stuffs to run.
Tested Edje Junior for about a week, no feel on first 2 days, now pick up a bit improved. As seller said need to "Run In" for about 15 hours and above for see the difference. Update you guy after tested
thanks for the update bro, perhaps should observe the FC as well if it's not too big a trouble for you.
Currently FC 7.2L / 100KM, monitor see there is any decrease or increase or not later
60% Highway 40% Town
you have a good FC reading bro.... the FC reading on my alza is hovering around 8.5L region, it went to 9.5L when i used it for daily town commute where there's jam (5km route that takes 20 - 30 minutes of commute), then drop back to 8.5L after highway drive.
How many year for your ride? How much on last time? is that lately just increase?
ALza FL May 2014, clocked 32k km til today, i believe it's most likely due to factors like traffic jam and colder air cond setting. hence the fc soars to 9.5L, after a trip on highway back to ipoh, it back to nominal 8.5L as it used to be, and then climbing up recently due to daily commute of stop go traffic... overall i would say it's normal. A tip for you bro, if you wanna achieve fuel saving, make sure you drive above 70kph while cruising coz the shift lock kicks in ONLY above 70kph with not heavy throttle. I heard Mazda skyactiv drive able to achieve shift lock as low as 30kph, which is quite impressive. Hopefully upcoming gearboxes able to have earlier shift lock (kinda dream on judging by how toyota / daihatsu / perodua tech offerings, they might just slams in CVT instead.... ).
bringing in the cosmetic gap, nice to the buyer, save cost for P2 to use common part over 3 models, now the RIM is the only external thing to differentiate a model S from SE/Advance.
