QUOTE(Jayi @ Feb 15 2014, 09:51 PM) Do any of you guys ever face delayed push notifications like facebook / messenger or even whatsapp ? Android as a whole are pretty infamous for this occasionally. This is why I still use my iPhone 4 for push notifications for Twitter and Facebook.

QUOTE(Jayi @ Feb 16 2014, 12:30 AM) is there possible due to custom rom or kitkat? weird part is reboot fixing the problem, but then it will only work for a certain period of time Maybe. As not all ROMs has the same Google Service built in. For an example, Samsung TouchWiz ROMs have Samsung Push Notification Service wakelocks, therefore stock Samsung ROMs have more reliable push notification for me. There was once I frozen some system services with TiBu, push notification died apart from calls, SMS and Whatsapp. The rest like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram went down.

QUOTE(khaiandrew @ Feb 15 2014, 11:43 PM) Will probably sell the ip5 to get the Nexus 6, so.. The N4 is enough for daily use? No lag? more than enough for daily usage. there'll be zero lag with quad core plus 2 gig of ram

I googled up, there were peoples saying cheap router causing the issues. I had cleared all the data on few apps and reinstalled them. Things are working quite well atm. I'll observe the behavior of these push notification on different routers.

Now to find a used unit It's more than enough actually. If you are getting for secondary phone. stock already good. but if want beast performance, flash custom rom and kernel lah! haha. both touchwiz and vanilla offer differently. It's just touchwiz too bloated.

A used N5 would be around 1.3k Im not sure with the latest market price. but i guess it would be fall somewhere below RM800 or lower for those 1 year old and above with very good condition. Those N5 are used AP set right? iinm it STILL not officially launch yet in malaysia

Maybe this should work? *warning, signout from Google account might wipe all related Google data, so it require sometime to resync back again, such like contact/email etc.
