Rooted my phone last weekend 6 months pf owning thia phone  Damn.  It's awesome.

Followed polarzbearz's guide. Easy enough,  except the waiting part to download all those stuff. Thanks,  polarzbearz!  Now damn itchy to try ROMs. Using cyanogenmod right now.

I backed up using Helium,  and after rooting,  Helium said can't find the backup data after I transfered from my pc to the phone. Thank god for cloud servers. Except my Reaper's game progress.. Sigh.  No pain,  no gain.

Finally I can have that 2g/3g toggle on my notification drawer.  Wanted that so much.  Wonder why Google don't make it as default toggle.

same thing happened last time before root. Using Helium and it lost it backup , not sure why.
Btw since you're rooted, use titanium backup. It does it job every well all the time smile.gif

I using purity both rom and kernal but in fact I never get 5 hours of SOT, average might be just about 2.5 hours of SOT. Most probably due to my heavily addicted game laugh.gif

hey just wanna know where is the best place to buy nexus 4 ??
my brother plans to get. the only place i know is paul lelong and directd.

who covers the warranty for LG ? is there original set or mostly are AP set
*
There are a lot of seller at Garage Sales section. U just need to use the search function bro nod.gif
Of course LG malaysia themselves will cover the warranty for ori set.
If you get ap set, the warranty mostly claimed with the seller only.

Try taking photos as much as u can in one time. I can easily see a difference between ART and dalvik with that

What to Wipe in TWRP

If you are switching ROMs (changing from one ROM to a completely different one) then you should perform a factory reset. A factory reset wipes data and cache (which includes dalvik cache).

Yes! Sometimes i'll just get so fed up waking up late, looking at my phone with 30% left where the 70% had already sucked dry by multiple unavoidable wakelocks caused by Google. Even thou a reboot can solve it, but I don't have time to charge it. Sometimes have to survive the day with 30% of battery when there's no chance for me to access any socket.

An iPhone however doesn't cause so much wakelocks even 4G is on. Therefore IMHO iPhones are for people who don't have the time nor want to spend the effort to bother about their phone. Apple just made life easier for their users.
*
kinda agree with the bolded part. But then I seldom face with wakelocks by google with my n4. Usually the wakelocks I faced is due to kernel problem. Just wait a quick update from the dev, flash it and wakelocks gone.

I actually very enjoy the android because i undervolt and downclock the cpu. Gaming on the phone no longer heat up the phone that much laugh.gif just feel bit warm biggrin.gif

i bought last year around cny at january, n i went lg service center change power button last month, the service guy told me my warranty till mid march~
i oso dono y smile.gif

how do they determine your warranty period? Its recorded in their system ? I thought they want to see the warranty card and date of purchase receipt?

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Jan 28 2014, 02:07 PM)
Somehow, recently I bought the new Moto G, my feeling toward the wakelock between Moto G and Nexus 4 are almost having the same, but the biggest difference is, my Moto G one night drop like 2-3% with all night WiFi on, while Nexus 4 if WiFi on can drop like madness. maybe because of KitKat 4.4 still young, because JB 4.2.2 can perform better battery life than it.
*
I just turn on airplane mode before i sleep and thats all, problem solved thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
but then i think mine drain more battery due to touchwake enabled.

Some Androids, after undervolting, underclocking, single core mode will give godly screen on times. Example: Note 2
*
single core sweat.gif sweat.gif will it gonna be laggish on normal usage? so did u try with n4 yet? brows.gif
with my current kernel, it will force 2 core to 1242 mhz whenever you touch the screen. i think its to make sure everything is butter smooth when using.

Android as a whole are pretty infamous for this occasionally.

This is why I still use my iPhone 4 for push notifications for Twitter and Facebook.
*
is there possible due to custom rom or kitkat? weird part is reboot fixing the problem, but then it will only work for a certain period of time doh.gif

Maybe. As not all ROMs has the same Google Service built in.

For an example, Samsung TouchWiz ROMs have Samsung Push Notification Service wakelocks, therefore stock Samsung ROMs have more reliable push notification for me.

There was once I frozen some system services with TiBu, push notification died apart from calls, SMS and Whatsapp. The rest like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram went down.
*
I googled up, there were peoples saying cheap router causing the issues.
I had cleared all the data on few apps and reinstalled them. Things are working quite well atm. I'll observe the behavior of these push notification on different routers.
