High pressure does not mean good. R410A need to be operate at higher pressure because of the gas nature. The older R11 & R12 are much more better gas to use in term of efficiency but not environment and the it run same pressure like R22 (If my remember correctly). How efficiency also depend on how the liquid/gas transfer heat.

Just like olden day, the brake pads are so much better, last longer and cheaper when Asbestos are use to made pad, but due to environment and health hazard is ban, and not a good brake pad either need metalic compound or it finish up fast.

Ok to be wait and see how survive on next few yrs of R22 last.

Due to my condo layout, my air-con guys said each of the air-con need to attach with a small pump,
so the drip water is 'powerful' and route to balcony from master room

i dont mind as long as insulate it well... extra charge is ok..
but its ok right even tho they put both pipe together in one insulator..

any for the compressor to my in-door unit is around 5 feet only...

separate insulate much better to avoid water drip on wall or outside diameter flex.gif

the pump is just what you mentioned. a small pump put between the water outlet pipe to pump out the condensed water.

Just got to know fr my contractor that York 2.5 vs Panasonic 2.5 requires diff size of copper. York 2.5 requires a bigger copper pipe.

He installed a Pana 2.5 pipe for me. So the max hp i can go for York is 2.0.

Any1 can advise me on the above?

I'm planning to get a York 2.5 instead of 2.0. Or there is not much off cooling diff between 2.0 vs 2.5?

All are basic air cond model.

In term of cooling not much different.
Unless your house got more guest and some corner can't reach to 90% of cooling only.

Can I know your hall how big of overall size?

I can't said 2hp is good enough, may due to your actual condition, such as direct afternoon sun lah or 2 storey height at living hall.

How I know right.

Should be ok for 2hp.. not as too cold, still quite comfort level rclxms.gif

when to 2.5hp more strong airflow, more easily to reach some corner only.

That pump is only used if you need to reroute your water outlet pipe up to the ceiling then back to the draining point. Usually required if your a.c is on a patty wall and no other possible way to drain the water by gravity.

Not really the case bro. Seperate insulation is to avoid heat to transfer from the gas pipe to liquid pipe. Thus improving the a.c cooling effeciency. Those foam insulation is very cheap one.
