You can live without the LED, not big deal tho. My ducky also got LED died not long ago. laugh.gif

Hahaha true, but damn sakit hati lah to see one or more of your LEDs not working. But I'm probably gonna spoil my WASD, E and spacebar keys judging my previous record thanks to FPS games.

Hahahahaha I know but I'm definitely not gonna spend that much man. Unless my career as a lawyer takes off. Then maybe I'll think of super high end keyboards. Wonder if there is any Carbon Fiber cases. =p
*
I think what you mean is carbon fiber reinforced composite case.
Anything is possible if you have the money.
Still there is company willing to fabricate for you if you willing to pay.

Still a very mainstream composite. sad.gif
Like a gimmick too, same like gaming keyboard gimmick.

The reason metal case is nice, because the crispy sound and the feel when typing.
Common metal case in keyboard is aluminum 6061 with addition retouch of surface using anodization.
If you want a more better than aluminum case, you can always go for stainless steel, add a layer of oxide using passivation will be enough.
Damn rich, then go for solid titanium, with passivated layer. smile.gif

edit: I like plastic, so I will continue my plastic journey whistling.gif

Hey guys, really need your help here. I've posted this issue multiple times, in garage sales forum asking for sellers, and in audio threads as well. I'm using a Sennheiser HD558, and I do not have a mic, which becomes a huge issue when I scrim with my platoon mates. I have a to wear my sister's headset around my neck just to use it's Mic and look like a retard in the process, wearing two headsets at the same time.

I've looked at the zalman and antlion mics, but there doesn't seem to be a local distributor. Really not keen on ordering from overseas. Help please!! Let me know if there are other brands or mics which I can just clip on and use, and does not involve changing cables or Any modifications

Would appreciate some help here. =(

Guess it's better late than never. Finally joined the mechanical keyboard club. Got myself a nice Corsair K95 for a very good price recently. Loving it.

However, I got a question. Usually I do not get or buy brands I've never heard off or has funny names, but everyone at LYN seems to swear by it. Is Ducky Keyboards really that good? Pardon my ignorance. Please don't kill me.

One being exclusively making mech kb over 7years by reputable OEM in Taiwan.

While another newcomer which never make mech kb b4 and by relatively new unknown oem from China.

Which one will you choose then?

It's an unfair question. To newbies like us who has never heard of ducky before, of course we pick corsair. But if you wanna put history in context then of course we pick the one that has been doing it for seven years.

But still, my question stands, is ducky really that good to be considered the best for the sub RM500 range? I just wanna know your opinions and user experience really. But based on what I've read here it seems after sales experience is second to none, especially for replacement parts and ease of fixing.

And like I said, Dont kill me LOL!

for backlit boards, i'd say ducky due to it's availability and rep.
for non-backlit, ComingSoon™ Filco.

Hey guys, I'm curious..
Why mkb are not availble widely, and not commonly known by people?
Is mkb still a new thing? hmm.gif
When I woke up earlier, this question popped into my head laugh.gif

Nope, MKB is a retro stuff.

Keyboard first come in mechanical back them in 80 (or earlier, I not too sure since what time PC first have keyboard). Later, due to commercializations and cheapen of PC, keyboard have to cut corner and drop in price, hence the born of rubber dome.
