Hope to see you there again! wish they have prepared and planned the workshop nicely...last time my X100 seems like left out, as lack of a lot of 'feature' like double exposure...

photo time!

last time is like introduce the 'new' xe1 and x100s features as the workshop is just after the product launch, then they show how to make double exposure and etc, and many things not found in my 'old' x100 sad.gif
then after that we do have a shooting session but it does not have a theme, just shoot and print out the best five and present,...quite not planned well..hope they planned well this time....

hope can try the 23mm f1.4...haizz but miss the chance for the 56mm f1.2

i recap what i can remember from last year event, it started with introducing the model lineup for the x series, then with the feature which apart Fujifilm from others, get free T-shirt and goodie rclxm9.gif, then briefing about the shooting event where we go and hunt for the best 5 pic, print it and present it why you choose this 5 picture, then we have short session by the judge..then i guess it ends

there is one guy with the Legendary S5 Pro, total imba..

actually most of the attended people last year are canny or nikonny users, and having fujifilm as their another system or dumped DSLR and join fujifilm...
there is not much the workshop can teach, people normally wont choose fujifilm as their first camera brand. When come to buy camera only Canny or Nikonny comes in mind, rarely saying "i want my first camera be fujifilm..etc"

so i guess major fujifilm user have certain level of experience and you will hear things like "which system are you from? Jump ship to fujifilm and why? DSLR no good?" In fact i also 'semi-jumped ship' to X100, partially commited to the X system tongue.gif

I sold the 35mm mainly coz its too tight for me haha..after I got the 35mm I had an casual event to shoot and its just too tight to use especially for photos of groups of more than 4 people. yes, I have the 8mm fisheye lens but if EVERY group photo is with the fisheye it gets boring after some time haha..and it is troublesome to keep switching lens every time someone asks for a group photo..

you might say why so lazy, why not use my feet to zoom out? the problem is I did that, until my back is against the wall and I still can't fit the everyone (about 8 people 5-8metres in front of me)..honestly I don't mind if the 35mm is more superior in optics, I find both lenses really good and the 23mm is REALLY REALLY sharp for me when stopped down to 2.8-4..

I went with the logic of zooming in with my feet, zooming out is possible only until i reach the wall or bump into a waiter in confined spaces like a restaurant laugh.gif ..and when i bought the x-pro 1 + 35mm bundle, it costed me just RM4400..so basically I paid about RM1k for the 35mm..I sold it for RM1400 and got myself a 23mm for RM2400 icon_rolleyes.gif

using d600 need 400w flash head (diffuse with umbrella)
using x100s, from basic calculation 60w sb800 is enough..
