PM price.  brows.gif

Nice strap btw.
*
you want to buy also? I can refer you to the person who sold it to me haha. He's an awesome seller, bought my xpro1, 35mm, 23mm from him icon_rolleyes.gif . very nice guy also.

thanks haha, I spent 2hours in Jaya33 throwing money in YL. bought Samyang 8mm f/2.8 fisheye, EF-20, this A&A strap, soft shutter release, Billingham SP150 & Sanyo Eneloop there laugh.gif . Recently sold my entire DSLR system so I have the cash to spend haha.

nice to hear, you're probably the first who sold his whole arsenal to get the X-system. Mind share why you want to switch ah? Or was there something I have missed earlier?
*
well long story short, it more about the weight and bulkiness that made me want to switch haha. and whenever I'm with a DSLR I just feel uncomfortable with people staring at my every time i take out my camera in public. and DSLR owners are normally easy targets for robbers as they are marked as rich people. now I can even bring out my x-pro 1 with one lens anywhere I want and don't have to worry about the weight the bulkiness etc etc.

I don't know if I'm the first haha, but I know for sure I won't be the last tongue.gif.

Its indeed quite heavy, but its not that bad. Ive tried a canon tele lens on my camera and yes its hard to handle handheld.
But with the sigma,  is still easy to balance, but need two hands ofcoz.

Well i love the color of the image produced by this sigma 10-20. Keep it bro, if you wanna try it on the x camera.
Or sell it and get the XF 10-24 soon  biggrin.gif
*
but Fuji is releasing a fujinon 10-24 right? wouldn't that be a better choice (if you didn't already have the canon 10-22 or sigma 10-24) to get? hmm.gif hmm.gif

nice photo though, the colours are really good nod.gif

EDIT : i take that back after googling the xf 10-24 ohmy.gif

haha ya bro, around RM3-4k for that lens. If I wanna get a fujinon wide angle lens, i'll go with the 18mm.
But for now im happy with the adapted Sigma.
*
even me, the 23mm is awesome haha. for wide I have the fisheye and if I really want a wide angle that's not a fisheye I'll consider the 14/18mm..but so far the 23mm + 8mm fisheye is really working well for me haha. what do you use with the fuji other than the 10-24?

hows the samyang 8mm bro? kinda interested with that lens too, but i wanna try it first hehe and also the 23mm.
for now the only XF lens i have is the 35mm. others are from my canon gear lenses..  smile.gif
*
the samyang 8mm is awesome. I've had it even with my DSLR gear and the availability of this lens in X mount made me choose the X-Pro 1 over X100s haha. Generally, I find the output of the lenses on both Fuji X and EOS the same, but if I had to choose I'd say the Fuji X mount is better in terms of flare control, sharpness, widest aperture (f/2.8 for Fuji X, f/3.5 for EOS).

these are 2 photos I've taken with the Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Canon mount with my 60D. a lot of people doubt the use of fisheye for people photos coz of the distortion but I haven't heard a single complaint from people who have seen my fisheye group photos that their face distorted or something, a lot of my friends and family love my fisheye group shots (esp the 2nd one which is taken during Chor Yat 2013). I just love this lens haha.

if you are from KL, you can visit YL camera at Jaya 33..even if you not ready to buy at that moment, make it seem like you have the cash ready to buy already & you are gonna buy. They will let you test the 8mm and 23mm haha.

NOTE : btw the photos are taken straight from FB so the quality isn't that good, but the original files are really clean and sharp laugh.gif laugh.gif

bought from YL ar? i bought the red leather one haha. will post some pics later biggrin.gif .

btw my mum just told me my little bro needs to get a new camera to use for school as his camera got stolen some months ago but he didn't need to use until now as school reopened. Instead of getting another DSLR for him, was planning on getting a used x100 or x100s. used x100 is about 2k, x100s about 2.9k, brand new x100s 3.3k. what do you guys think? he's using it for school photography club, I think for him it will be perfect.

of coz for HIM to use right, not for ME to play with whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif

X10/X20 just fine.
*
thing is I bought an x10 for my mum for her to use personally as she needed her own camera to use(she's actually a teacher in the same school my brother goes to...) and she doesn't want my brother to use her camera as she normally brings hers with her in her handbag to school (she loves how easy it is to carry around with her)..

that's why I was thinking to get an X100/X100s for him (whole family fuji thumbup.gif thumbup.gif ) instead of another X10 or X20 (as its basically the same..).

hi all,

any comments on X-E2 ? is it worth upgrade from canon 550D ? feel DLSR is too bulky now..
*
it depends bro..cannot say upgrade cannot say downgrade also, even though xe2 is a lot newer than the 550D..depends on your usage, if you using for sports event or events that need fast AF, fuji x will have a hard time to please you. if you want to change your system for the sole reason that DSLR too bulky, then I think you won't be disappointed.

I, too, changed from my 60D+17-40+70-200+8mm+580EXII to Fuji X Pro 1 and I don't regret it one bit coz I've been using my 60D since it just released in 2010 (i think) and I know that the xpro 1 will suit my needs and more..if you bring a dslr out, it will be mafan to lug around + if you have a dinner, and after dinner got some plans, need to lug it around again after that (coz face it, if you leave an expensive camera in your car, especially in Malaysia, you're just asking to be robbed) with the lens and the bag and everything..

now, I can bring my x-pro 1 with the 23mm attached everywhere even without a bag (but normally I always carry a bag to put other things too) and don't have to worry about the weight + bulkiness or even going to certain places which might not be suitable for DSLR..

PP..sometimes i shoot raw+jpeg, sometimes raw only and sometimes jpeg only..depend on my memory cards space left. x has good white balance only sometimes metering could be difficult. use spot from time to time when necesary.
*
yeah haha, eh bro pinjam 3minit *takes for 3 months*.
so far I've only PP-ed 1 photo to B&W..must remember to try shooting with the in camera B&W filter haha..so far I've never shot RAW on this camera yet, the jpegs are awesome

mostly used for dinners, lowlight, night scene.. i went for Europe trip last year with the big burden on my shoulder.. pain pain.. mostly i like street photography.. will definitely think about it .. thanks..
*
yeah I was studying in Europe too, a lot of walking around right? after my experience in Europe, I too decided to change system haha (not the whole reason la but one of the contributing factors). for dinners + gatherings for sure this camera will be perfect. lowlight and night scene a bit difficult as I found out the other day..I've only tried with EVF la actually, never tried with the OVF yet but since XE2 only has EVF, I think you will face some problems with the focus in low light even with the AF assist light..
