Thanks mate, I think she tried Fotokem but was asked to pay for the camera before trying.

*
really? I went in and played with the x100s for about 15mins at least haha. even let me walk around the shop and outside (provided in their view) to take photos. maybe it's just the fotokem at sunway pyramid? idk, but I was really pleased with that.

in other news, might be getting a used x100/s and selling off my 23mm and getting the 56 laugh.gif

I understand about that but do you think its good enough ?

and which one would you get ? XE-2 or XPro-1 biggrin.gif
*
XE2 would be better in terms of pricing (about rm500 cheaper body only), processor, and newer sensor. I think got better focusing system too (but I think not too much a difference..)..main difference would be xpro1 has the OVF which I really like using haha. xe2 just the screen and EVF

How about XE-1 vs XE-2 hahaha, I could save so many money and get another lens
*
that I don't know haha. I wouldn't say get newer tech is always better, coz I myself get X-Pro 1 when it's a few years older than XE-2..need an XE user to talk to about this la haha. what lenses you plan on getting?

damn long never post photos laugh.gif .

some photos from the One FC weighing. kinda sucked as I was confined to just one area and had to steer clear of the official media of the event. btw only fuji x user there icon_rolleyes.gif . alongside with 1D X/s/mkiii/etc, D4, D3s and etc.

Mirrorless is competitive mainly because Nikon and Canon doesn't have "good" or rather competitive mirrorless to offer their users. I would have stick with Nikon mirrorless if it had a APS-C sensor instead of the really tiny 1" CX -.- also the retro design of Fuji  drool.gif

Initially thought of A7/A7r, but then lens selection is pretty limited... sweat.gif
*
yeah haha, I've tried the X-T1 recently, the EVF is really really nice, but still can't compare to the EVF on the A7. I've had about 15mins for each camera la so I can't really say haha, but from that 15mins I'd say A7's EVF is nicer, but the button layout a bit awkward for me.

and yeah, the A7's lenses are really limited, I think less than 5 lenses which are compatible for FF?

PP'd. I think I will post some SOOC when I get a chance to. smile.gif

Boosting the color tone and contrast might help to achieve such level, might want to give it a try?

This lens just launched in Singapore yesterday, and managed to get hold of one.
Was checking the price of 56 f1.2, until I saw the box of 10-24 at one of the shop.
Pricewise, not much different between the 56 and 10-24, both around S$1.3k

Also have the 27 f2.8 on order from Amazon US for US$199.

wow, if the 56 is also going for $1.3k here I'll get it straightaway upon release haha. I only know that it will be here earliest in April sad.gif

i don't think they'll make the x-pro 2 full frame..it doesn't make any sense as their current lens lineup is all for ff equivalent hmm.gif ..

btw Mr. Oss has 56mm and 10-24mm in stock now, his prices are very good brows.gif . reserved my 56mm already, pending for cod

Anybody here have experience with Samyang lenses? I've heard the IQ is pretty good for a 3rd party manufacturer. I'm thinking of getting the new 12mm f2.0 for architecture/landscape shots as an alternative to the Fuji 14mm f2.8.

http://shashinki.com/shop/samyang-12mm-len...nt-p-19655.html

Any thoughts?
*
Samyang user here since DSLR before moving to Fuji X. I can tell you that the deciding factor for me to get X-Pro 1 over the X100s was when I found out that there is Fuji X Mount for Samyang lenses. I've only ever used the fisheye but the result you get from the price of the lenses is really superb. I've heard the Samyang primes are really sharp but I've never gotten one as I find manual focusing a bit troublesome with my DSLR. I wouldn't mind getting one to try out with Fuji X though, with the focus peaking.

hi guys, 2 ques here

1. any shops or outlets to try out fuji's x camera? location, KL area
2. i plan to buy body only(used), and separate lenses( used) which is the best lens for beginners? any suggestions?
*
1. for biggest variety and guarantee that they sure let you try, YL Camera in Jaya 33, PJ is the answer..some Fotokems let me try too but they only had x100s..other Fotokems said sorry cannot, it will increase shutter count sweat.gif ..

2. can consider x100/x100s if you don't want to deal with the hassle of choosing/changing/bringing around lenses haha. can get x100 at 1.5k-1.8k, x100s under 3k used. if you want to have interchangeable lens camera, X-M1 and X-E2 are both good choices.

laugh.gif bro, this is ISO6400. Pretty impressive for APS-C sensor already IMO.

I actually look at the shot counts with 18-55 and 23, I use 18-55 about 20% of the time and 80% is the 23mm itself. Might have been different if I had the 10-24 I guess, cause back on my Nikon system I usually bring 35mm and 16-35 for travel.
*
recently poisoned one of my friend's sister to get fuji x cameras and she got the xe 2 + 18-55mm kit. i pinjam her my 23mm and 8mm fisheye. looks like I'm not getting them back, especially the 23mm sweat.gif sad.gif

btw the xe-2 is awesome. shame that i didn't go for Mr.Oss's advice to get the xe-2 instead of the x-pro 1 haha.

Well IMO in terms of image quality the X-Pro1 would be on par if not better than the X-E2, only thing the X-E2 would have the upper edge is the focusing speed I guess. The X-E2 IQ should be on par or slightly worse than the X-Pro1 due to the phase detect introduced in the 2nd gen sensors.
*
actually it's not just about the IQ. I'd say the IQ feels more or less the same (haven't really compared them). but bits and pieces here and there + the lower price makes it feel more worth buying haha. wifi, smaller sized body, newer sensor, newer processor. and xe-2 is about rm600 cheaper too lol
