QUOTE(Pacmangoku @ Dec 27 2013, 12:13 PM) really? i see everyone's words the same size as mine btw anyone can explain why the ef-x20 is 2x the price of the ef-20? i tried both at YL and i bought the EF-20 just coz its able to bounce. but admittedly the ef-x20 looks nicer on the x-pro 1 + the old fashioned dials make it look quite ngam with the x series dials haha |

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Dec 27 2013, 11:18 PM) Finally get on my hand the X-m1 , the 18mm f2 is awesoome , very sharp wide open , must try it out tomorrow see i will love it or not haha enjoy bro. if the 18 f2 is nice, imagine 35 1.4 The sensor is good , RAW file is good , the ISO is even better than my 60D and very clean even at iso 3200 Here the sample i shot wide open from my X-m1 + 18mm f2 ![]() Fujifilm xc 16-50mm by ChongKiat, on Flickr |

hmm..had my first opportunity to actually use my X-Pro 1 + 35mm + 8mm fisheye + EF-20..camera performed pretty well actually, but a little disappointed with the AF in lowlight condition (even with the AF assist light on)
the AF when its dark (not pitch black dark, like dim restaurant lights) is pretty bad. its slow + it doesn't AF very well. takes 2-3 tries sometimes to get it right. and I had 3 or 4 shots out of 100 that is OOF. also, the EF-20 is surprisingly powerful! it lights up my subjects really well (sometimes a little too well....). i only wish that flash can be rotated like the 580EXII so I can bounce up even when I'm taking portrait shots. the 35mm is just..too sharp lol..it's weird, I guess, like "SHARP ALSO COMPLAIN, NOT SHARP ALSO COMPLAIN" but I take some shots with 1/60 - 1/120(i think) F4 ISO800 with the flash, the subjects' hair (especially girls) become very....pixelated? it's like when a photo is too sharp it becomes like that..(without +sharp PP and without crop) other than that, I think the other issue I had was lack of space haha. with the 35mm it's really tough to get more than 6 ppl in a shot comfortably. QUOTE(kenary820 @ Dec 29 2013, 08:07 AM) bro do you have photo sample for the pixel (crop) that you mention. this is my opinion, if the initial x series was design with rangefinder in mind this is abit better because the camera comes with AF not fully manual. Yet again the lens shall come with manual focus distance indicator, mostly didnot. Being said that, I guess the x series enquire the user to master both AF and manual focus, basically teach to think and set before you shoot. Regarding low light, I been shooting with X-E1 at the streets during night without problem. Its good to go somewhere near like Spore where there are plenty things to shoot with varieties of subject option. i will post some photos here in awhile..i think so far i've only seen 1 lens with the manual focus distance indicator, which is the 23mm f/1.4..hmm maybe its just me but sometimes it takes 2-3 tries to get the focus and some of the shots are totally oof |

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Dec 29 2013, 08:35 PM) u miss the view finder? Haha continuous and tracking sounds like ai servo mode haha..does when u half press does it keep tracking the subject? or even without half pressing it still tracks the subjectAnyway i really very confuse with the FOCUS MODE on X-m1 , there is MANUAL - i know how this work , it won't do anything and u have to turn ur focus ring by urself to get focus Multi - it will choose most nearest subject to focus Area - u control the 49 focus point Continuous & Tracking - i get confuse of this both focus mode , it will keep on tracking the subject , but when i half press the shutter , it will re-focus and capture the subject , so what point if it will re-focus after we press the shutter ? Shouldnt it tracking the subject and we press the shutter to capture ? Or any fuji pro member care to explain and help me out |

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Dec 29 2013, 10:52 PM) Problem is it will auto tracking even i didn't touch the shutter , when i half-press the shutter , it will re-focus and lock the focus , it stop tracking oh lol i dunno leh..i just found out about that mode haha. the C right? quite weird also..it tracks but when half press the shutter it stops tracking and focus locks..it only track when i didn't touch anything , so what the point actually to have such focus mode? Or is that i miss out something? |

QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Dec 30 2013, 11:53 PM) i think is not just this year..is all the stock of xm1 and xe2 (i think) this year that aren't sold are all given free 18mm f/2 by fuji to help the sales..i was talking with the seller who sold to me..i dunno if is until end of this year but i think not coz he told me he receive stock for 1 18mm f/2 per body already..anyway, i think that if right now u have enough money to buy (and you really really want to buy), just go ahead and buy it now coz of the promotion..the 18mm cost almost 1.7k alone, u can sell it for 1k also u untung.. |
