atomic tune stock brass pinion causes my counter gear teeth to wear out. anybody experiencing the same? i think i want to change to carbon pinions instead.
ajak org main dalam bilik...main tamiya ker main xxxxxx? brows.gif

I'm using black carbon pinions....1 of my mach dash used by my frenz but wrongly installed. hancus semua nya. I guess it depends on how the pinions/gears been installed.

may be the metal gold pinions got more strength? nvr use that b4

prior to this i was using light dash pro with carbon pinions and car sounds smooth enough.
now since the tech competition i was using atomic pro and soon after the gear noise is kinda loud, and i found that my counter gear teeths are wearing out. so i assume that the noise was because the gears are not making proper contact, idk.

brass pinion gear too hard to pull out, and pinion puller is just expensive rclxub.gif

hmm.gif hmm.gif ....for me, when using gear n pinions for MS, I usually spray SC 99 and lubricate using singer oil. I can see that it helps to maintain the gears/pinions teeth.

as long as it doesn't like a chainsaw cutting through metal, fine with me.

Ppl using S2 with floating gear has so smooth sound, even with powerful moto (based from my observation).

hehe..puller is damn freaking expensive.

hi there. my first Super XX kit. any pointers on how to tune this chassis? I dont mind any sifu(s) here sharing their settings. I don't mind or Semi Speed or Semi Tech or even High Speed setup. I just dont know what to do with this kit.

A little help or even sharing pictures of your race ready Super XX is highly appreciated. icon_question.gif

Thanks in advance

You can try look at Super XX Evo.1 to get a clue on how to set up the basic layout. Not necessarily need the exact parts, but roughly similar should be good brows.gif

I have a few sets of this model coming next week brows.gif

I'm so pissed with screwing stuffs, especially when screwing an underguard + plate + roller + weights etc. Seriously thinking of buying an electrical screwdriver next month. I've read around, seems that for such work, a low torque one is a better choice. Maybe next month jalan2 at Ace Hardware near Ikea to see the prices. sad.gif

SXX Evo1
let's be real; under plate? hmm.gif
....and what idea can I possibly get from the Evo kit, if I may ask? smile.gif the Dyna Hawk GX Blk Sp already comes with high arched tyres & carbon wheels (found in Evo)
the only thing is that SXX Evo1 comes with is the T2 and the Under plate.

so, if I may repeat my question, what idea can I actually absorb from looking at the SXX Evo1 kit? lololol rclxub.gif

I mean no disrespect to Soulfly. but just to clear the air;
when I asked how to tune the SXX, I meant how to set up. what parts (are recommended) to buy, where to place it and which part of FRP to cut, dampers settings, brake types and adjustment etc.
preferably kalau ada picture lagi bagus. senang.

I am asking this to those who have experience in SXX in races. SXX is different due to the wider wheelbase and a more lowered setting (like you cant place a SXX cowl on a S2, VS, TZ, TZ-X without modding the chassis or the body) sebab cowl dia dah rendah.

kalau setakat suruh beli or tengok SXX Evo1, any Tom d*** and Harry can tell me the same stuff blush.gif
no hard feelings, yo

i didn't know if you were asking in terms of noob perspective, but you can use the basic layout like the roller sizes, the style/type of plates/stays to use, damper placements.

if you were asking about more techie stuff, it's really hard to explain because you at least need a basic setup, and test on the track and see if it suits your local track.

it's really hard to say or suggest what to do apart from the basic layout. i learned from many previous otai, all of them said the same thing... there's no particular formula. One person may do different set up and still get the same result as others. Different track layout may require different setup altogether.

If you're asking for a specific setup, then I can't answer to that of course. But my friend who uses SXX for quite a while only use the chassis for semi-tech stuffs, aluminium rollers with rubbers and high front stabilizing poles. more dampers on the front than rear to make the nose dive after a jump (well, basically very similar with most, if not all rear motor chassis).
