I see...mine had the same problem after 7 years, so I just replaced the rear. Even after changing for some reason its not perfect vision, so I guessed it just could be the way the rear windshield is.

As for moving to 3M, if you have the budget go for it, if not canny is fine, just from my experience. I have both.

BTW, what car is it? just curious...mine was on passat cc

I hv tinted several cars with 3m crystaline and i do agree with some posts here that they do become blur after some time. It can be very obvious at night.

This is especially so for 1 of my car that is parked under the sun most of the time. I can only deduce that the tint, although good at what it does (ie heat rejection), its life span is shortened if parked under the sun daily.

No issues on peeling or bubbles for all my cars for 3m.

I love 3m for the heat rejection but am kinda irritated that i hv to replace 2 cars windscreen tint coz of the blurring issue. So kinda wanna try something else now

Anyway, i wld like to ask if anyone can recommend any shop/shops that does llumar - good price and workmanship. I used llumar on my car many years ago and wld like to gv it a try again

Which screen gets blurred, is it front , side or rear windscreen? If its rear, than most likely due to glass heater.

Infusion Pro? Their website said 99% haha..was looking for their titanium plus also..hmm seems need to know the true reading only then make decision.

hahaha, but generally only after fitting we get the accurate reading, since the original glass has its own tint as well.

Still no problem with smart tag?

Nope no issues, not sure if I use differently. Normally when approaching the toll gate, I hold up my smartag to the surface of the windshield.

Cannycool still good?

Still exist! smile.gif

If you previously think its was good, then its still good today.

I did mine almost 10 yrs ago, and re-tinted end of last year.
Reason for re-tinting was sun is get too hot nowadays, and since new regulation for rear is 100%, went ahead with that, since my previous one was based on old ruling.

My previous tint with 3M which I have been using for 10yrs+, didnt have issues with smartag as well. Im guessing that those who had issues could also been combination of the windscreen glass and the inner layer film of the windscreen, coupled with the tint, the combo may not been optimal.
