Hi , i am looking for tint for Honda city. No ceramic series. I prefer metal series with heat rejection, as compared to Ceramic series with heat absorption.

I didn't use smart tag, used RFID. GPS is a must nowadays.

so, if you get issues, you can go and change it.

the problem is with the tint for rear windscreen.. peel once or twice, then if bad luck the heater elements will get spoiled aldy.. if their warranty cover those items as well, then this is good

won't the metal type cause issue to gps as well? my ceramic tint really absorb a lot of heat, mostly from the windscreen itself..

I don't know why most people here hate ALVA brand. In my experience, its ok. My car is cooler than before. I had no problems.

Although at first, I can see some bubble spots but after few days, its ok.

Nanofilm is some Korean brand? Anyone got experience, is it cooling?

Not sure how u like it, but I used VKool Elite for all my cars until now. The DX30 at 22 and 21 VLT are surprisingly not as dark as I expected. The penetrated interior lighting is just brownish, just darker brown than the front DX60/D60 but not the the "black" dark. No feeling of claustrophobia at all, even with black color seat of old 2006 City. It's definitely not the Honda Ecotint 5% dark.

No lar, at least not VKool Elite and Irispro Metal-based tint. My old Samsung S2 faced GPS problem with VKool but Note 8 onwards got no issue. Now using S22 Ultra, GPS signal not effected with Irispro and VKool Elite.

If you want metal-based tint, I think only VKool and Irispro. RFID cannot stick on windowscreen, metal-based tint got interference. Smart tag, no issue at all.

It's really bright from the inside of the car. From the outside, can see the darkness but from the inside, it's surprisingly clear and bright. Night time driving is pleasant as well.

Only complain is that there are alot of bubbles on the film. Not sure if it's cause I park in the basement and not get enough sunlight. Also, I might be wrong but somehow, Raytech performed better.......... :S the Specs on Irispro is higher than my previous Raytech film but i did not sweat in my old car under clear sunshine, now, I feel sweaty under same condition........

may I know the tolerance of the tint degrade? 10~15% percent is acceptable?

anyone tried or using this tint?

The sweat thingy very hard to say unless you re-tint and compare with same car with same air-conditioning, weather, etc.

I can feel the car MUCH more cooler and heat resistant but that only compare with my old VKool Elite (the VKool very old liao anyway, not fair comparison). So for heat resistance, its good, as a reminder, I'm using their premium DX series (Silver mixed sputter tint with 5mm thickness).

The side windows got no bubble but the rear demister windscreen has lots of water bubble. The demister line interfere with the removal of water properly kuah.

I'm using DX30 with 5mm think, the manager explain the film will take at least a month or 2 before water bubble dried off coz thicker film. The water bubble reduced by half now after a month...and ya, I parked under cool porch and basement most of the time, so might take awhile. Some more now not much sun.

For my newly tinted old City, much less water bubbles. I think its the workmanship in removing the water during tinting not that efficient during Civic installation. The front windscreen tint using D60 pre-tinted 1 day earlier is perfect without a single bubble.

However workmanship in removing the old tints from both my old Civic and City are perfect, over 15 years old and demister still intact.

I guess so, the aircond is cooler in my new car though. Anyhow, will observe for the next few days. I rarely drive under sun actually cause either working from home or go in during lunch which has almost no traffic so time spent in car is less for me to notice the heat.

As for the bubbles, there are some areas which peeled so would need them to do something about it or remove and retint. Other than that, will just wait a month or two for the buble to settle and if it's still there, will get them to redo. If it's rear, will not do anything about it as i'll risk damaging the rear demister.

What’s the price? I know of only one shop in KV that carries that brand, AutoDetailer Studio PJ, and everything they offer is super expensive (although quality/workmanship is supposedly very good), so I’m terrified to ask them for a quote.

Alva film performs well enough. Their top spec tint package is around RM600-700 if not mistaken. If ot degrades over time, even if you remove and reinstall every 2-3 years and keep your car for 6-7 years, total cost will still be cheaper than many premium brands.

My issue with Alva is their workmanship. They’re always busy and tend to rush. For ceramic coating it’s even worse. They don’t do proper paint decontamination/correction before applying the coat, and sometimes don’t let the coating cure sufficiently before handing car back to customers.

My ALVA tint is going 2 years now. If I remember it right, I just avail the mid spec so I paid 700 including removing the old tint. So far so good. I don't have complaints. What I noticed is that it keep my car cooler. As if the aircon is new.

But I agree, I think the problem is the workmanship and the people installing it, Not the tint or product itself.

Anyway, I recently acquire a 2nd hand car and I think I will give Alva another try.

Last year i saw they had range for sedan 4 -5k if not mistaken....now its no more shown on the website...have to contact them.
wondering if anyone has done it and is it really good.

what is the new technology added now?? which brand has it? gps and smart tag compatible?

What about Smart Tag?? won't metal absorb more heat than ceramic?
