Interior is white. But your point is my worry too, maybe I’ll just not bother with it and stick to 70% and 50%. The thought of having to talk and deal with the cops when in the wrong for trivial things like this is frustrating.
*
well... your vlt imho is reasonably dark... so ok lah if need to talk to cops...

myself doing 65% front 55% sides... really gg if kena... hahaha

50% VLT front section (windscreen + front window), this not too obvious. been years already, never saw JPJ roadblock, maybe Im avid Android Auto user with Waze on everytime  smile.gif
*
laugh.gif

50/50/50 probably ok... 50/35/20 maybe a bit risky liao...

but nowadays see a lot of ppl dun really care go quite dark... so maybe just maybe won't get flagged because relative to others may look ok... laugh.gif

Isn’t 70 and 50 for windscreen and front windows like the legal regulation limits? They give you shit even for that? 😧
*
65 is not legal but hard to tell from 70...

what i meant to say... if saman i rather kena for dark tint, at least get to enjoy what i want... if kena with 65 is really stupid bad luck...

anyways you seem to be worried about it... best go with 70/50 for peace of mind wink.gif otherwise reserve/include some saman money into budget...

some shops example like hamel... their tints looks quite dark but they claim jpj compliant and will settle your saman if kena...
some films visually looks darker than meter reading... maybe you can seek these out...

Easier to buy, maybe tougher to install……
*

on my 7th time trying today... finally managed window install without much drama... hahaha

im quite skillful n handy... and this has been quite a challenging and learning experience

or u could just bring the rolls to tint shop nearby and pay for the installation instead  rclxms.gif

i install for testing... doesn't have to be perfect, but might as well take the opportunity to learn and do it properly

right now, left side windows and right side windows have different tints... biggrin.gif

by the time am done... i probably expert liao with final installation... laugh.gif

No wonder can't find DX in website. I don't think I like it cause I don't like greenish / brownish internal lighting, prefer clear light.

You have experience with TotalGard Titanium Plus, brightest is VLT40 with TSER 75. I like the high TSER as I assume it should be very good in blocking all the heat but still can't decide should take the risk to use on front windscreen and front passenger as this will violate JPJ rule gao gao hahaha!

Another choice will be RhinePro Diamond11, VLT70 but TSER 58 only ( https://rhinepro.com.my/diamond.html ). I guess even with this also on front windscreen will fail JPJ if kena check cause the windscreen itself for sure had some sort of light tint already.

Decision decision decision  hmm.gif
*
58 tser is quite high for 70 vlt... best i can find for diy is 56 tser at this vlt.. am testing a darker 65 vlt and it has a worse 52 tser...

quite happy with 50% VLT especially the front windscreen, the sunlight is too bright and makes me dislike driving at noon time, so 50% VLT is what I choose. I faced a few police roadblocks with no issue, never faced a JPJ roadblock since iirc 2014.
*
yeah 50% vlt still looks quite clear on fws...

i am testing 65% vlt for fws and 55% vlt for windows mainly for the looks... these two are blueish... there's no size for 55% vlt for my fws, des why no choice try 65%...

Hi guys, out of curiosity, do these tinting shop will charge cheaper cost if the tinting it's for a coupe / 2 door car instead of saloon?
*
dunno...

films come in standard 60" size that they usually can cut 2 windows from it... coupe window gonna be longer cut only 1... also how complicated the installation... also McLaren vs mini cabriolet may elicit different response...

my other car just changed to 40% VLT front windscreen after windscreen replacement, best to drive with this on noon time. Night still clear from inside.
*
ya i think 40% vlt is ideal...

but darker the tint, more dye is used... since dye will also cut down IR/TSER, i believe manufacturer will cut back on sputter/nano ceramic to save cost... all is good when new, but old liao dye will fade, effectiveness will reduce...

gonna test double up 70% vlt on a window to get ~49% vlt but will have double the sputter/nano layer... biggrin.gif

Hi guys, how was Xpel & Winshield window tint quality?
Recently I get quoted following price

Xpel Prime XR Black - RM2000 (Lifetime warranty)
Winshield Cool Steel - RM1750 (7 years warranty)

Is it worth getting either 1 of these 2 brands compared to other normally known brand (3M, VKool, etc.)?

don't know about quality... ie degradation, ... but the specs are not good... if me, I'd avoid both of them

for comparable spec, you have hamel's cheapest at 799 only... for best spec/price i think you have totalgard...

Which Totalgard model that you use for each of the window? Care to provide the breakdown?

Front Windshield:
Front window pair:
Rear window pair:
Rear windshield:

Looking for best TSER combo. Thank you
*
while Totalgard has very good 100% IRR... you will still feel heat coming through...

however the biggest flaw imho is that the film is very hazy when hit by strong sunlight... the darker one goes the more hazy it looks...

some loss of contrast... but you can still see through the windows...

the windscreen at lighter 65% vlt is not so pronounced...
