xmas promotion?  laugh.gif
yes.. no more..
that spec.. is kinda weak..  slow performance.. but it not drain much battery... low-end graphic card.. but its ok for light gaming..

compare with toshiba Satellite L40-AS109Xb/G/W, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199[Onkyo], 4GB, 750GB, 3 years local warranty; colors: Blue/gold/white

pay extra rm100 for better speaker and good graphic card compare hd7450M and have larger storage.. plus with 3 years warranty thumbup.gif

just brought.....
RM2099. it seem tosiba is more expensive. with other brand with same spec. but i like the colour white rclxms.gif

but i do have one last question. 3rd or 4th generation of intel, which one is better for gaming?

thanks again.

doesnt make a difference if you choose the generation of a processor for gaming.

hi sifus, i'm looking for laptop with portability and idk.. decent battery..? previously used Asus U41JF for 3 years no problems at all, then i tertolak jatuh bed-height meja, lands horizontally very badly and motherboard prob a little, send to repair sooooo bad service from problem at screen only terus kiok, so sad cause i really loved it, esp the metalic look and slimness  cry.gif

1. Preferred Brand - Asus / Lenovo / (Acer/Dell?)
2. Budget - 2.5k
3. Usage - can quite easily bring about, multimedia, medium gaming
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 14", i5 is enough for me i guess, not so thick, decent battery life smile.gif

i've looked, Asus K46CB, Y410P or S410P and Acer V5-473PG or Dell Vostro 5470 seems fine.. opinions, sifus? thanks in advance smile.gif

add these into the consideration list :

ASUS
K451LB-WX071H, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199, 4GB, 750GB, W8

HP
Pavilion 14-N059TX, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2099[2.03kg], 4GB, 750GB, W8; colors: silver/black

Lenovo
Z400 touch, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT740M + (1366x768, touch)@RM2199, 4GB, 1TB, W8; 2 years warranty

best if you could choose Lenovo Y410P, as it has the best performance and approx light weight laptop you can get out there.

1. Preferred Brand-
Any, build quality and service must be top notch
Apple might work as well.

2. Budget-
RM 3000-4000

3. Usage-
Photoediting, browsing, college work, light gaming (dota 2)

4. Preferred laptop/screen size
Light weight (if possible) , long battery life

Narrowed down my selection into :
MacBookPro 13" (Retina Display), i5-4258U + Intel Iris 5100 + 128GB SSD + (2560x1600)@RM4199[1.57kg], 4GB, backlit keyboard, Mac OSX

Now i need another recommendation.

1. Preferred Brand-
Any, build quality and service must be top notch
Apple might work as well.

2. Budget-
RM 2000-3000

3. Usage-
Photoediting, browsing, college work, light gaming (dota 2)

4. Preferred laptop/screen size
Light weight (if possible) , long battery life

1. Preferred Brand - Lenovo/Asus (any other brand is ok too)
2. Budget - RM 2000-3500
3. Usage - College work (Notes, assignments) , gaming with 60fps(League of Legends & Blackshot), movie watching, maybe live streaming my gameplays.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - not too thick and too heavy as I'll be bringing it around campus. Size around 13"-15" is ok.

-A good speaker isn't that important as I'll be getting my own earphones/headphones.
-Good battery life too (around 4-5 hours when browsing the web and typing)

are you a movie enthusiast? if you are, you should get a laptop with full HD screen and possible with IPS. by the way, thats a nice budget you have there, possible to get the specs.

Acer
V7-582PG-74508G52k, i7-4500U + Nvidia GT750M + 24GB mSATA + 500GB HDD + (1920x1080 IPS; touch)@RM3399[2.2kg], 8GB, W8

or this :

Dell
Inspiron 15 7000, i7-4500U + Nvidia GT750M (GDDR5) + (1920x1080; Touch)@RM3599[2.6kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm), W8SL, backlit keyboard, 58Whr

i hope the Dell isnt too heavy for you but the build quality is amazing, almost looked like a Macbook. prices are RRP and negotiable.

How serious are you in photo editing?

I highly suggest you seek a person who can "loan" or colour calibrate your laptop for a fee, I was doing this service quite regularly last time but stopped already when I sold the device. Btw, the device cost around RM400+ for a basic one, I'm using the Spyder 4 Pro which costs close to RM700. That was how serious I was about photo editing lol. Plus, the prints that I do is from a Master Printer who prints for Malaysia's top wedding photographer brows.gif After calibrating my Dell U2311H desktop monitor, colours were perfect, 94% sRGB and everything came out exactly as what I see on the computer. Simply fabulous when you see your own work on print. It's just awesome rclxm9.gif
