Thanks sifu for your suggestion notworthy.gif
Just wanna ask if Intel HD4000 is okay for my jobscope mentioned above? (Dunno why but got bad impression of intel graphic card)
After doing deeper research into your suggestion i realized that most of them have integrated battery ..
(Although i know its already a trend for the ultrabooks to have integrated battery)
i'm thinking of having removable battery since at times i could be working on the laptop for hours so i just wanna leave out the battery and straight use ac power outlet.
Can help recommend any laptop which does have removable battery?
SSD can be moved to the optional section of specs (don't mind if don't have) nod.gif

- Normal one will do.

5. Other requirements
- lightweight is prefered, but normal weight also ok.

I hv 1 laptop in mind, but wonder why at lenovo website show that this model didnt have lan port, but the picture gallery show that it hv lan port?

Preffered Brand:MSI/Lenovo(Other brand is ok , brand is not a high concern)

Budget: RM3.5k-RM4.5k

Usage:Gaming(Crysis ,BF4, ....etc),lite video editing, multimedia.

Size: 15.6 (Bigger screen is acceptable but prefer 15.6)

Main concern is the PC spec for gaming and cooling (great spec but shitty cooling is not for me).

Yup Sifu I read this but they are more than 2kg which is not nice to carry around  blush.gif

I would give up buying one just to be able to play dota as my current one serve me well  nod.gif

So out of the 4 brands for 13" which would be the best pick then?  notworthy.gif

Well if you want an ease of mind when facing problems and need asap support or a good warranty free headache,
go for dell smile.gif

Well you are asking for a performance laptop, whilst wanting it to be thin and light,
which was.. never a good combination to begin with.. its bound to have problems..
overheat, stuff like that.
If you dont mind the weight, not that heavy though,
lenovo y410p or y510p would be good enough

It depends on the variants i guess, some have and some dont
but after a quick search, i think the s410p does have a lan port :/
U probably need to recheck with the seller before purchasing or visit a shop.
Its a good model with good spec for a good price tag smile.gif

If you can fork out an extra 500, go for the Illegear RS-15 Lite, fits ur needs perfectly,
or you could try scouting for the msi ge60 series (depends on the 20c, 20d, 20e variant),
or the lenovo y510p (y50 is coming soon replacing this model)

Haha I'm just quoting what are available in your specified budget.. Not sifu in anything :/
The listed laptops are mainly for portability, they do not have dedicated graphic card.
You could opt for these if you want

Acer
V5-473PG-54204G50, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT740M +(1366x768;touch)@RM2299, 4GB, 500GB,W8 *no OD

These are in the 14" range and would probably weigh around 2.5kg or less (u need to check the specific details on this one i forgot)

Sunday afternoon, I was just about to buy the RM4,899 variant of the 13" Retina MacBook Pro. Then I thought I should ask you guys one more time before purchasing such an expensive laptop.

Of course, for now I am very biased towards the rMBP. But I would like to know non-Mac alternatives that:

• Is slim, light and portable
• Has an SSD (no hybrid nor mechanical disks please)
• Lasts for more than 6 hours per charge on web surfing
• At least a 1080p (full HD screen)
• IPS screen (or good TNs)
• Performance is the least priority but as fast as possible
• Budget isn't a thing (but the laptop must worth its pricetag)

I'm considering:

Sony Vaio Pro SVP13218PGB but:
- More expensive than the rMBP (Macs have better resale value)
- 4GB of RAM is not enough for large projects in Photoshop/Illustrator

Sony Vaio Fit SVF15N18PG but:
- Weighs a ton
- Mechanical HDD
- Short life span

Asus ZenBook UX301LA - DE016H but:
- Not worth the price (IMHO. Then the DE017H variant has too little RAM and storage space)
- Hear say the scaling issue is ridiculous
- No HDMI! (thou it comes with adapters for the DisplayPort)
(UX302 has a mechanic HDD, so no)

Dell XPS 13-9333 but:
- Like all other Dells, no numpad FN mode
- Pricing

HP Spectre 13-3002tu but:
- Price
- 128GB of storage

Thank you.

to be frank, of all the laptops you listed, rMBP has the best spec around. Iris graphics (powerful integrated graphics by Intel), 256GB storage and decent build quality. if you like to have Windows, you can always bootcamp it.

Acer and HP always hold the rumor for poor quality. My opinion is that god is playing with their luck.

Only could find 2 of them, others doesn't meet one or more of your criteria.

1. HP ENVY TouchSmart 14, RM 3,154, i7 4500U, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD + 24 GB SSD, NVidia GeForce GT 740M, W8 64
2. Dell Inspiron 5437, RM 2,630, i7 4500U, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, NVidia GeForce GT 750M, W8 64
3. Lenovo IdeaPad S410P, RM 2,221, i7 4500U, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, NVidia GeForce GT720M, W8.1 64
4. ASUS A450LC, RM 2,525, i7 4500U, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, NVidia GeForce GT720M, W8 64

If you have spare money after purchasing, just upgrade the parts (like RAM). smile.gif
Price taken from IPMart.

EDIT: There a Laptop Price Catalog in this sub-forum. Just find the 14 inch one and you're free to choose. biggrin.gif

I said at least 6 hours in order to give other laptops a chance haha.

Oh, so I should get it near my warranty ends rather than getting it right after buying my MacBook Pro?

Of course, boot camp smile.gif
