Yeah, Illegear machines are cooler than MSI ones in general 
Yalo, the promotion is quite good for some models i.e. free 120GB SSD 
I don't think its just the backlit keyboard haha, but for more details, do find out friendly Illegear boss here- Prince J, he will be able to fill you in and perhaps gives some great offers too~ 

you have a hefty budget there, i will say the RS-15 Lite is a better deal. reasons to consider RS-15 Lite :
- Graphics card upgradeable in the future due to MXM ports
- Decent cooling system
- User accessible hardware for easy maintenance
- Professional look, not so flashy (a plus)
- Good hardware ergonomics
- Excellent aftersales service by Illegear

however, its up to you to consider which one is the best for you.

hi, guys, was wondering would they be a lot of differences between using a laptop with i5-3230m with one with 4200m?

1. Preferred Brand: prefer asus/acer, lenovo and Toshiba still acceptable, apple is an absolute no no.

2. Budget: rm1200 - 1800(max is 2000 but prefer not to push it considering i have to buy the cooling pad and accessories as well.)

3. Usage:
a) sims 3 + all of it expansion/stuff packs (20 of them) (at high setting)
b) minecraft (at high setting)
c) photoshop cs6
d) heavy duty multitasking work (Photoshop cs6+Microsoft word+Music+Movie+Multiple notepad open+Emulator+Background appliction running+Browser all at the same time)

4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 15inch++

5. Preference :
a)for OS, i prefer to have Win.7 64Bit (ultimate if you could)
*please no mac OS or Win.8
even if the laptop is made for win 8,
i'm gonna change it system to win.7 64bit
but then it'll have license problem

b)have ssd(120++GB) AND hdd(500gb - 1tb) for storage drive

c)have extra slot for RAM and storage drive so that i can add in more in the future.(since my current budget very tight, and i'm gonna try add up to 8gb~16gb in the future)

d) prefer the core family(intel i3 - i5 - i7) with the suffix M/QM. suffix U still ok

e) dedicated card as GPU

f) battery life for 4hour (i'll pluged it 90% of the time except when i'm at college though)

g) have bluetooth 4.0 and wifi be intergrated(wifi no need so troublesome to plug in d-link and i have a bluetooth headphone )

6) things that can be ignored
a) its looks(i place performance and the capability to multitask as my priority)
b)optical drive (i rarely use it, i mainly use pendrive
c) weight

But, can any sifus suggest me some slightly cheaper but decent laptop?
Because I'm kinda not enough budget here since i'm just a student

The price I would like is around RM2800+ or RM 3000+ and can do some uni stuff such as doing assignment, very slight gaming (like CD games),watching drama
Others (Must) = DVD rom ,Screen 14 or 15 ( not too small) , not too heavy ( since need to carry it always.) , smooth in operating, good and loud speaker
Optional = stylish design

Since my current broken laptop is Acer, so I would to try out other brand of laptop that have good reputation.

5. Other requirement: Game smoothness > good wifi strength > good heat management (desktop replacement)

3) Inspirion 15R (Not really favor of its design)
