Finally my battery died on me last night after I stopped to fill up petrol on my way back from Segamat to KL. Mileage was about 45k km, 1ye 2mths. It was the Yoko battery. Changed it at outside workshop last night, was quite pricey coz emergency case and no other workshop. Was open at that time. He charged me rm350 for a Century battery+labor. Doesnt even know whether correct spec or not coz he gave me an N55L battery, original Yoko was N66L. but the car starts fine now..
*
The replacement battery under warranty by Nasim is Delkor Din60L for 408. I guess your Century battery's spec should be okay.

Edited - Din60L (initially quoted Din55)

My car headlight (right side) H7 bulb burned out for the second time. sad.gif Last change was on 1 Sep 2013, less than four months. Is there any advise with regards to this fast burned out?

Probably by circuit board/cable or grounding cable problem. This cause unstable current flow rate. drive in to the SC to check it out.
*
Thanks chenglong, SC said need to make appointment to check those things you mentioned. Will fix a day to send in to check.

You wash your car in cold condition also? you start car immediately after washing ?
I saw in the handbook. Pug recommend user do this step:

-After washing
-Start engine
-press the brake pedal few time do prevent rusting on the brake system.
*
Or else, drive the car after wash for a couple of kms and heat up the disc to get rid of the water?

Thanks for the info. My mind is at ease now. smile.gif

Only one more thing, the radiator fan isnt working this morning when I started my car to check up on it. Will try to drive around for a while and monitor further. If its still not working I'll send to SC. No alarms came up tho.

Edit: rad fan is working now after driving the car aroubd and engine warms up.
*
Bro, I apologize for my mistake. I look back at the service invoice, the Delkor battery is DIN60L, not DIN55.

Guys’ just wanna check with you all, when moved to 3rd gear, will it like it will drop another 200 rpm before picking up again? Let’s say 2300 change to 3rd gear, drop 500rpm then when going up the rpm, it will drop another 200 rpm..
*
For my NA, the RPM will drop as the gear change and RPM pick up again until the next gear change. Cos the NA is not running on CVT transmission, correct me if I'm wrong.

That's how non-CVT gearboxes work, yes. 408 Turbo is the same.

The weird issue which was asked about a few posts ago is that the RPM drops twice for one of the gear ratios.
*
I googled on other forumn, it mentioned about torque converter locked up. Mebbe, sifus can share more about how is this mechanism works.

I guess we should be more concern with a gear slip problem than RPM slip?

you are correct! our transmission has torque converter. once the converter locked up, then the rpm will continue to rise. This situation is normal
*
And this explains the RPM will drop twice for one of the gear ratios?

Saw this from Peugeot Club Malaysia FB, water pump problem for 408. Please take note. The owner claimed replacement under warranty.

Mileage 25k..symptom: coolant level drop even after topup.

Yes and only for turbo as there is a sensor at coolant tank. Did notice 2.0NA dont have sensor at their coolant tank.. the next warning will be engine temperature high if the coolant at low level.
*
Thanks for the head up, will monitor the temperature gauge.

Arrrrggggghhhhhhh.....Dying from the anticipation of receiving my car. They say Monday only deliver. By the time finish the registration and do  tinting, i think Tuesday only can get......Arrrrggggghhhhhhh.....~~ROAR!!!!

By the way, anybody know where is a good shop to buy and install new halogen buld?? Like OSRAM NBP, PIAA, etc.....

Thank you very much.
*
For PIAA, can check it out at ENEOS 1U. Last time I checked, they have a limited range of OSRAM/Philips. Now i'm not sure whether they have re-stocked. But the price could be a little more expensive than buying from the net.

As I make the turning, the steering vibrates.

Today i called up Puchong SC and told them I need to send my car in for checking on few issues and I was lucky that they could accommodate to my request.

i) Changed H7 bulb for 2 times within 4 months - I asked them to run a check if there is any problem on the headlight electrical wiring. However, the SA said there is no faulty error from the result of the testing.

ii) Ventilation system - Outside smell (like exhaust smell from bus) entering the cabin whether the air re-circulation is on/off. The SA only checked on the air filter and said it need a change as it was very dusty already. He only cleaned the dust using air. He asked me to make an appointment to further check on the ventilation problem. So far, I didn't notice any drop in the coldness of the air-conditioning even at night time.

iii) A noticeable gap on the left front door (see the below picture) - Not sure whether it was due to the rubber car door seal problem or something else. The SA could only carry out the detail checking in the next appointment. They can't do it today without appointment. Lucky that there is no illumination of car door warning light that show the left door is not closed properly. Phew. sweat.gif

I still have 900km to go before it due for 40k service. Will get them to check on those problems again.
