Coinhako can debit and withdraw money from/to Malaysian bank account at the moment. And this is the only platform that's working in Malaysia from what I know.

BitX used to be the best trading platform in Malaysia, you can set the amount and the price using the trading application. Too bad, they having trouble with their Malaysia bank account.

The current way to buy/sell bitcoins is using coinhako.com or localbitcoins.com. Haven't try the others platform, maybe someone could intro a better alternative.

I think the government is the cause for those exchanges bank account closed.

As for bitcoin hardware wallet, you can try Ledger Nano. https://www.ledgerwallet.com/products

I use XBit Asia, and it works fine with Malaysian Ringgit.
The only downside is the lower liquidity, which inevitably raises the price and increases the spread.

Hardware wallet, Ledger now has a newer model, called the Nano S.

Yes, just for cold storage, the original Nano is good enough.
Although, the addition of a screen is pretty cool though.
