How to know the Samsung S View cover have S View function or not?
Is it this have the real function or only the look was like S View function? S View Cover
*
Honestly judging by the price, I doubt it is the genuine one. Genuine RRP is RM179 or RM189. Ask the seller to post some real picture of the casing and also a picture to show there is 2 smart pins on the back plate. Without it, the smart function won't work

is there anyone with the mobile data problem, if ur phone is idle for long, then the mobile data will not connect have a fix?
*
I used to have this problem but it is during night time and weekend. And just a few users suffer from this issue. What I did is I use Tasker to set a profile to have the mobile data on 24/7

guys, imma new user here..this morning my phone is asking approval for software updates.. wonder what is the updates for? new firmware?
*
Yes, there is a new firmware MJ7 released few days back. Unless you are currently rooted and wanted to stay rooted without tripping knox, then by all means please update the software.

If you want to stay rooted without tripping knox, please update your firmware via the MOP method

is this hw issue or sw issue u think? coz i replace one unit at samsung already, i tot is sw problem, but after the recent update, the problem is still there.
*
Honestly I have no idea, most likely could be due to software issue and until today I still can't find what causes this bug. Those day back in HTC One X, HTC implement something like smart sync which will disable your data on certain time to save battery.

But I don't think in Samsung there is such implementation and is only a few users here complained about it. Try Tasker and see if it helps you. At least I solved mine using it

okay, will it drain battery?
*
Nope, at least not for me

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Dec 16 2013, 11:10 AM)
No need, you can pick center clock during installation. wink.gif

I won't ever use that XBlast anymore, it is superb highly not recommended. It make the whole phone not stable especially the systemUI.
*
Aroma setting need to always reboot to recovery and reflash the whole ROM as there is no systemui zip at this moment.

Up you and see which is much more convenient, at least X Blast didn't give me any issue, and many people also didn't face this any unstable issue

To all that is having data reconnecting issue, have you guys consider getting a new sim card to test?
*
Don't think is due to SIM card issue. Like my case, those day Monday to Friday, during working hour there is no issue, then starting from 7pm until the next morning, the data will disconnect automatically until you awake the phone where the data will only connect in about 0.5 second after the screen is awaken. Then on weekend it happened randomly.

So I believe it is a bug and not SIM card related

bro, what different have u find about civato kernel vs stock kernel?
*
Civato kernel can UV and got Fast Charge option. But it doesn't have built in max screen off frequency like in lean kernel but you still can achieve it using other apps like setcpu or system tuner.

The battery life seems better than stock and the intellidemand seems quite good

Still early to tell bro, as I did a clean flash and I have to re-sync everything back to my phone and setting everything up. Based on my current usage, after 6hours of unplug from charger with SOT of 1hour15min, I left with 82%

antt00 TS

How to use:

Extract the download from below to the root of your internal or external sd card.
The script will try to detect the folder first on the external and then on the internal sd.
(/mnt/extSdCard/kn0x0ut or /sdcard/kn0x0ut)

Then browse into that directory with terminal or adb shell and type:

Code:
sh kn0x0ut.sh
or
Code:
sh kn0x0ut.sh help
and you will get all the commands supported currently.

---

You can use the command
Code:
sh kn0x0ut.sh kn0x0ut
to install the script to your system's xbin folder and create a symlink to "/system/xbin/knoxout" as well. (use this command to update the kn0x0ut script on system when a new version is released and you have put it on the phone)

From then on you can just type
Code:
kn0x0ut <command>
or even easier:
Code:
knoxout <commands>

how do i do all these, can you teach me with an idiot proof version?

i'll guinea pig test myself
*
Actually which part that you don't understand? I haven't try myself but from the OP, you need to download the zip files and then install the script first

If I read correctly from the knoxout thread, it doesn't require adb shell wor or did I read it wrong hmm.gif

after you downloaded the zip file in post 5, you try to put it in the root of your SD card.

Then open terminal and type the bottom line and press enter

/mnt/extSdCard/kn0x0ut

If you flash a rom you are replacing system files if the system files suddenly get replaced it will hang and reboot. But the file not yet fully replace, you get a soft brick and can only be cured with odin flash.
*
But also got people reported that they successful flashing ROM with terminal wor. Seriously I don't know if can or not but just see if using terminal can alex install the script first or not
