where is the mouting system ?
i think photon got better look that this ...
but is D5 mount is a plus .... better looking than photon ..
imho , attach bad look pump d5, will spoilt the elegancy of the reservoir
*
Direct mount to the bottom of the reservoir, IINM. I haven't seen the whole restoring when mounted with a pump yet.

QUOTE(Lucassss @ Jan 21 2014, 01:30 AM)
Got link? I think Photon still better looking, and that glass.  drool.gif
*
Currently I only have the Facebook link, but I'll see what I can dig up when I have the time.

Yeah, the photon's advantage is the glass. I'm not too fond of the inner light tube of the photon.

Hehehe. Luck is on my side tonight  tongue.gif

Thanks for the help guys. Really appreciate it.
I will post my noobie rig tomorrow. Everything done except for casing fans. Would it be a huge improvement in cooling and airflow if I upgrade my stock CM case fans with Corsair AF120?
*
Good to know your GPU is well.

Cooling improvement, if you have passive heatsinks in your system then yeah, probably will see improvement.

Regretted buying x20 750 kit cry.gif . After chinese new year d5 is coming rclxm9.gif
How much does a d5 + tube res cost. Like the one pristine showed? drool.gif
*
Why the regret bro?

Also, d5 cylinder res are not yet common here. Usually people end up buying a d5 pump top and a male-male fitting and fit the together with the cylinder res

Wahaha biggrin.gif ...good one..indeed i do need a bigger case for quite sometime now..haven't have the chance to get one. Still considering a custom case or just an Enthoo Primo/900D..

If you go custom, open worklog pls. Hahaha.

Just... don't use the rice for cooking after you've used it for your components. Keep it for future drying up use. lol

Anyone seen the images of the newly announced Bitspower reservoir?

Two G1/4" ports on the top instead of one, and the same three port design at the bottom. Included in the box is their rather new air bleed valve!

How much do i need to build a decent water cooling system for my processor to be better than those aftermarket ready made stuff ? like corsair and cooler master.

and if you were to suggest the best bang for the buck water cooling system that is ready made would be?

RM500 to start, XSPC kit or swiftech h220.

To fixed VRM1 temp, I need to get Fujipoly thermal pad (11 to 17 17 Watt/m•K).

If you only have one 290, 860W is more than enough. If you plan to adding second 290 for Crossfire, 860W should be enough too.
pristine, where I can get Fujipoly thermal pad?
*
If you want decent enough ones, aquatuning and performance pc has. Though phobya ones are also pretty good.

If you want the over the top ones, FrozenCPU.

Was planning to get Scythe fans from frozencpu when the LYN forumer quoted me RM160 just for shipping. That also I had to ask. She originally quoted me RM240 shipping when my six fans only costs RM238. Bloody hell. Fans weight at most 1KG plus only.

kizwanLet me know if you're getting anything from frozencpu. Prolly buy it together with you.

kizwan, I believe you want this.

http://www.frozencpu.com/search.html?mv_pr...a&go.x=0&go.y=0

The ones I got from Phobya are only like 7W/mK I think.

I don't think you need to go so far really. Stock thermal pads are really bad, some of them are about 1-3W/mK, depending on manufacturer. If you don't want to ship them in from FCPU, check with APES and see if they've got any Phobya pads and find out the rating.

For EK, I think the rating for the pads are about 3-5W/mK, but that's the one you can buy. I'm not sure of the one included with your water block.

APES only have 0.5W/mK rated thermal pad. I'm waiting niclas to reply if he got one that almost good as Fujipoly.
*
Well that kinda sucks.

AFAIK, niclasteoh only has 3M pads, but Let me know if niclasteoh has something like fuji poly. Might just get some for myself. Haha.

The six fans I originally wanted where Scythe Slipstreams 1900rpm 120mm fans. $9.99 a pop. Pretty good price. But I might end up buying Scythe GTs 1850rpms or Noiseblocker fans instead. See how lah should you guys decide to buy stuff from frozencpu.
*
You can actually get them from niclasteoh. link

The only NBs you can find locally are the XL series and the multiframes. The black silent pro is nearly nonexistent and as for the e-loops, no one stocks it in Malaysia. Not sure if anyone else but me even owns it.

Try not to buy fans from overseas, they get taxed rather easily if declaration goes wrong and it's not easy to change.

If you've got budget for SGTs, you can also consider Corsair SP/AF series from drivenheat (an LYN forumer)

So much for Gtg. Here we bump again. Hahahahah.

But yeah, that's why I'm thinking of getting noiseblockers. Those things spin at high RPMs but still retain sub 30db noise levels. But I don't mind if you wanna sell your fans cheap. rclxms.gif
*
QUOTE(Chew Yongxian @ Jan 24 2014, 02:12 AM)
Yeah I asked APES but no replies on the noiseblockers. Will check niclasteoh out

Yeah I'm liking the Black Silent models. Can't find anywhere either. Sheesh. But multiframe isn't that bad either.

Yeah, I got charged an insane RM240. So I know how it feels being overcharged. But I havent ordered anything online yet, so haven't faced any tax declaration charge issues yet.

Yeah I know drivenheat. Funny thing is, he always doesn't have the stuff I want. Hahahahaha. But corsair fans should be a dime a dozen I guess. But I'd rather pay RM30 less per fan and get a SGT.
*
Which NBs are you looking for? I have three XL-series that I haven't used. No box though.

Multi frames are NB flagships, together with the e loops. Which cost more than SGTs and I think more than corsair fans.

And the corsair fans drivenheat sells are just slightly more than an SGT. Dual pack, not single fan.

I'm interested in the Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro PK-PS 140mm fans. Hmm, but your XLs are blue in color right?

Yeah I know. That's why I said it isn't bad, because while being good fans, its still pricey.

Yup, checked his price. Dual packs are cheaper. But I'll consider them if I can't get NB or Scythe fans.
*
Happy hunting. haha. though you can try asking hantarkatsini2 where he got his BSPs. Yeah, my XLs are blue blades.

Anyone know where I can get flow meter with display locally & most importantly in stock? Support 7/16" ID tube & also work well with Mayhems Pastel coolant.

[EDIT]
Actually APES have 7W/MK rated 0.5mm thermal pad. I did't read the message properly.
*
Koolance flow meter + display, uses G1/4" threads so you can use any fitting you want. niclasteoh has it, but I'm not sure of stock. Costs about 200 though. sweat.gif

If we're talking about the same person, that person remove one of the pad & temp a little bit better. Can you post the link here in case you're talking of different person?
I'm considering that too but that doesn't support 7/16" ID tube, so the reading will be little bit inaccurate.
*
You'll need to use the meter at 10mm. Should be fine. I don't think you'll be able to get decimal point accurate coz conversion from inches to mm isn't exactly to the dot in water cooling.

QUOTE(llk @ Jan 24 2014, 09:02 PM)
Guys, any comment between XSPC EX240 vs Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 240, i plan to get another 240mm radiator for the GPU (already have an EX240 for CPU). After did some research Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 240mm seem not bad the only problem is i have to get it from oversea (including shipping around RM200). My casing only can fit radiator less than 50mm thick. By the way checked with APES EK-CoolStream RAD XT (240) no stock therefore will be out of consideration.
*
The XT45 and the EX240 are two completely different radiators. So don't simply buy. lol. One is better off with SP fans, and the other with AF fans. The EX is high FPI and the XT45 is low FPI. They are different things. So before jumping the gun, read up and decide.

QUOTE(llk @ Jan 24 2014, 10:25 PM)
Wow! then i guarantee you will be poisoned just like what happened on me  biggrin.gif

By the way i'm asking Dotatech see whether they have EK-CoolStream RAD XT (240), if he got stock i will just grab.
*
Dotatech takes their stocks from APES IINM.

Hello. What do u guys use to clean copper wb?
*
You can use tomato sauce, brasso, lime/lemon and salt, toothpaste, there's actually quite a few methods. Pretty much any method that's available for cleaning copper you can use to clean copper water blocks. Just make sure not to include non-copper parts of the block.

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Jan 25 2014, 08:54 PM)
say like if I wanna use qdcs on my gpu, I need to buy a separate fitting for it? Or it works like compression fittings. So like its a 2 piece set? Or in other words for my gpu to be able to use them I need at least 4 of them?
*
Koolance has been making QDCs for a very long time so they have various generations and various models for it. You'll need to pair them properly. They come in two pieces and not in a set, so careful when purchasing.

QDCs have G1/4" thread, compression heads and barb heads, so up to you to choose. I would advise to have a tube leading out from the GPU to the QDC so the QDC won't add weight to your GPU.

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Jan 25 2014, 08:56 PM)
o.o what's the difference? LoL cuz I saw a vid on utube showing how easy to disconnect the loop without leaking water everywhere. So kinda wanna look into it hah. First time seeing it tho
*
Consumer QDCs work differently and are shaped differently.

Btw, Bitspower is new into the QDCs, so is Swiftech. Bitspower QDCs are not very impressive. Koolance does better. Swiftech on the other hand makes rather interesting QDCs, manufacturing a modular version of it allowing for amazing flexibility when it comes to QDC applications.

But like always, availability is an issue. So if you want easy to get QDCs, get Koolance ones, which niclasteoh sells.
