Xperia .....gimmicks? Actually no, compared to Samsung. Its Samsung that's king of gimmicks.

Yes the camera was so-so that I have to agree but other areas are pretty good. Don't understand the complain on viewing angles, I am pretty satisfied with my XZ and view angle is fine 45deg left and 45deg right - with not much colour shift. Maybe it's becos i like to look at my phone within that angle ....... I also prefer the screen colours saturation compared to Samsung - Samsung is like cartoon where XZ is more natural. The xperia launcher is also way ahead of touchwiz. Xperia launcher is functional and quite elegant where as the touchwiz is like loud and LOUD. Look at the native sms app in samsung - yuks.

Anyway the above is just my view, to each his own. I was considering the XZ and S4 and in the end the XZ works better for me both hardware and software.

software problem normally takes 2-3 days working days.. if hardware then probably 2~3 weeks ady.. mine ZL have problem recently and sent into service day.. until now got 10days ady.

I kinda hate the sticker.. It worn out over time.. Hard to keep it in a good condition except use a back cover..

yday was recording HDR video..suddenly warning appear on screen, says temperature very high..then shuts down by it self... i need to plug my charger every time wanna on it back and every time i open my camera, the phone shut off t self.. got any idea what the problem?

I wanted to go for Z1 but the incoming call ringtone is soft compared to ZL, think it's the IP rating

Guys, how to upgrade to 4.3 on SONY phones like Z or ZL...over the air??? Safe?

IMHO the viewing angle issue is pretty much on the hardware rather than the software.

Viewing angle the smaller the better for me. Don't want others to see my messages.

The viewing angles of a screen is a dual edged sword. Good at privacy. But when you're taking photos at an angle, then you'll regret.
