I am unable to backup my phone. It just keep stuck at this part.

best is to manually backup anyway..

- your sms you can backup with SMS Backup & Restore
- whatsapp you can manually backup then transfer the whole folder to your PC or external SD card
- pics/videos/medias = manually transfer to your PC
- apps = manually create backup of the configuration (like widgets, app settings, etc)
- for game files you can try titanium backup

thats the safest way to backup cuz at least you can see it with your own eyes, rather than it being a converted file format that contains the backup.

Cant wait for sony to release official kernel source so I can start using custom kernel for 4.3.

Although the battery has significantly improve, i'm curious how it will go with undervolt and underclock.

btw, 4.3 was totally worth the wait. The improvement is drastic. Not sure why people complain in XDA.. but for me, my xperia z is pretty damn solid now all I can say.

for apps you can always reconfigure.. most importantly is your personal data anyway

Minor update mostly apps still there....but when major like 4.2 - 4.3 ur phone become virgin.lol..
all install apps gone..

Base on update my ZU..after update. 4.3 totally wipe my phone.
So i assume will be the same for Z n ZL

previously,i updated my Z by using SUS.we have the choice whether to wipe all the data+apps or not(it means your 'barang' still there).but of course,wipe all data+apps will make our phone like newborn.

no.

full wipe means wiping of

- system
- data
- cache
- dalvik cache
- internal sdcard

but just to be safe, unmount your ext sd card..
