oh no wonder. i don't monitor inbound/outbound data transfers because of several reasons. lazy being one.

i have a habit of getting files off internet:
1. download everything into a temporary folder;
2. scan the folder before use. (clamav with microsoft security essentials only)

on top of that, i only get files from known trusted sources.

so far so good. safe since wxp era

well.. mac os or linux or bsd are potentially vulnerable if you do not know what to do with it. (for instance, this is a story in linux. my friend once downloaded a script and without reading through it he ran the script at once, as root. the damage would be significant, including losing his job, if he did not have a habit of doing backup daily haha!)

When it works, AW is great. When it's not, you'll be ready to throw it across the room. Even that is hard because it's heavy

minimize the resolution to 1366x768, reduce anti-aliasing and graphic settings to High is enough.

for most of the reasons, any games i play will not maxed out its settings but instead, i will put it to high, regardless how strong the GPU is. high setting is enough for me more than ultra, as ultra (for some games) is just an essential setting which will crave more performance.

turn off V-Sync as well. this is another aspect of performance hog.

man.. don't play with ultra settings for that card. raymondtong94's right, turning off vsync and antialias, then set the resolution to lower than fhd help.

even with 680m/780m i only play with high settings, with vsync and antialias off. only when i go into test range i set everything ultra (just to enjoy the view and scenery. in multiplayer sessions, with those settings it means suicide :/)

edit: well.. even if we have very strong cards, our internet speed still make us feeders lol! just now i shot the guy in the head, but it ended up i die. speechless.

there were updates released at dell support site, including the gpu drivers.
you can choose to not extend it if you're fine to sell it at a reasonably lower price, and if the machine is in good shape. i suggest you look at garage sales section for reference. (actually, having warranty might or might not be useful in boosting price also.)

Yeah, I've checked the site that they've added Windows 8.1 drivers already. I might be able to update to Windows 8.1 without any problems (I hope).
