Maybe we just wait until the new Alienware 15 and Alienware 17 with the GTX 980m and get the vBios in that card, flash over to Clevo or MSI card to test out.

I can upgrade one. My M17x R4 also got warranty. Everytime I warranty I took out the graphics card or put back the original one and warranty.

GTX 880m model is old Alienware 17. It didnt support graphics amplifier. It can upgrade to GTX 970m or GTX 980m. Not bga.

The new Alienware 17 which support graphics amplifier is bga, cpu anf GPU both soldered on motherboard.

I think Alienware 13 cooling better. Because Inspiron 14's thin form factor cooling will be a big limitation.
