Thinking of spending some money to get these. My main focus now is Diet, i need to do alot of exercises at my abdominal.

What brands do you recommend? I only bought dumb bells before, and the quality is just so so, i prefer something good, but not too good (too expensive).

- For beginner like me, how heavy should I get those dumb bells? They have 5kg, 10, 20kg, hmmm. I weigh at 120+ Kg/6 foot.

- What about bar bells? Should I get those plates as well? I just need the bar to do some exercises for now.

- Bench? Some bench can be adjusted to diagonal form, some is only flat. Which one do you recommend.

- Exercise balls? This may sound stupid, does all the balls have the same sizes? doh.gif

Oh My, to get these 4 things, how much roughly? sweat.gif unsure.gif

Please state the brand as well, Thanks. thumbup.gif

i think most brands you see nowadays in retail shops are of decent quality, get something that feels and looks solid, i personally prefer metal made dumbells over the synthetic ones.

- for the beginner, try the weights out at the shop and see what fits you best, have one of the shop attendents recommend something for you.

- barbells, eh if you only need the bar for now get the bar, you can always get the bells later.

- bench, no idea dont bench, no space for it ... to many computers tongue.gif

- exercise balls, ... dont have one, when i was looking at one my friend who came with me kicked it around and we got chased out of the shop.

- price, my weights (25lbs) were about RM40-50 per piece, got on promotion so i got the other side free. shop around, its amazing how much you can save during a sale. brand, cant remember the sticker came off a few years ago doh.gif

also... holy crap 120kg at 6ft? typo? thats nearly 265lbs... shocking.gif

Why buy an exercise ball when you've already got 2 between your legs?

Sure, when I have the digicam with me again, but not now. Maybe next week.

I don't look that 'kind' of fat.

Actually I like both, but due to my toe skins rubbing each other, it becomes redish and the skin peeling off. So I decided not to go jogging that often anymore, sensitive toes.

Yes, you can say that is easier. But swimming uses more strenght, and after you get out from the pool, whole body will feel very heavy and abit dizzy. laugh.gif doh.gif

Jogging = Only legs

Swimming = Everything. flex.gif thumbup.gif

swimming > jogging, like you said full body work, also theres no worry about joint impact issues you get with jogging especially with the extra weight.

feeling dizzy after swimming isnt actually normal... it could be due to water entering your ear causing an inbalance of your inner ear(i get this, earplugs fix it), it could be other things.

its cheap, a few ringgit, check a sports equipment shop which sells swimming gear. you want to get something of high quality cause it sucks to have something break up in your ear requiring a trip to the hospital to get it out, trust me its not fun.
