I'm surprised that there is no dedicated thread for this upcoming game.
It's memang in my list of highly anticipated MMOs.....besides Blade and Soul of course. Tree of Savior (spiritual successor of RO) is another interesting MMO.. Anyways, awesome video!!! |

i saw a gameplay vid of archer during cbt once.
kinda killed a bit of my hype since the pace if slower than i expected. i think the gameplay vid is from Steparu. maybe because he keep using the same 1-2 skills only. |

interesting gameplay,although slower paced. might be able to contend with dragon nest with this. only thing thats missing are overly flashy 1mil dmg skills. not much a fan of real life like character designs though......lost a bit of points for me from that.

the english version (NA server) will be publish by Daum itself. but Daum still in process of setting up at NA. so might be taking awhile for that. i heard that there will be SEA version as well but still just a rumor since no company from SEA said anything about this game yet. |

heard from step saying that it could be ipblocked this time and OBT in winter ..for korean I've tried cbt2 ..so far its great! ..pvp still not as good though |

had an eye for this game for a while now....but the problem?
the english version is slated for around 2016 i last heard, and that is just estimated by the company the korean version, assuming if u can bypass all those korean ip block and restrictions etc etc, u might end up playing it blindly without realizing what u are even playing. now if we think bout it further, most of the english fans even had concerns bout the english version when its out, since most korean based games like this, dont rly have a good track record on the long run, those games either get dumped aside or sold of to another company and ended up not well managed etc etc good hype, dunno how its gonna end up, but i like what i see atm thru vids thou |

The combat is amazing, coming from a veteran player in Tera. I do prefer the aiming in Tera though as everyone has that "attack and move forward" stuff and makes aiming easier. The game mechanics is much more refined too, and less fantasy-ish, with the exception of magic and other normal stuff you see in MMOs.
If the English patch gets completed, it'd be heaven. |

I'm more concerned on how the Lag Compensation in BD, hope 300 Ping won't have any effect like Rubberbanding. Based on my experience, NA usually around 300-400 Ping, same goes to EU as well. Usually, JP,TW or China have better ping than NA/EU, about Ping 2XX-3xx. I just hopes theres a really good VPN to reduce the ping untill somewhere 1XX.

Step to get the full game : 1. Download, install and run Softether VPN. to get JP IP address. 2. Open BDO JP website after you got hooked to a JP IP Address/gateway. 3. yea even if u go US server i dont think this kind of game you will be happy playing on high ping. Rubberbanding, slow hit register etc. good luck spamming pot on US Server.

The game website can only be accessed through a JP IP address. I usually just connect to Soft Ether to mask my IP then start the game. I don't see any difference with or without Wtfast so I tend to skip it. Also the english translation pack looks like something someone copy right out of Google translate. It's so baaaaad |

Yes, finally.. I've found you guys. The Malaysian Community. I've been on Reddit & BDO Official Forums. But, couldn't find anyone from our region. I totally forgot all about Lowyat. Then, I suddenly remembered. So, now I'm here. I'm so excited about this game. I can't wait to play, when they launch in the US. I was in the Alpha. :/
So, based on reading the last few pages. It seems that you guys are playing the Japan server. I'm playing there too, on and off. Then, I got a little bored and stopped for a while. Are any of you guys in Calpheon, or mostly in Media? Do we have an official Malaysian guild? I want to play with you guys. |

Also seems way more manageable black desert is good but probably not for me :} you only need focus 1 thing in the game to make money, the game provide many choice, like fishing,trading,gathering,horse taming, horse training, cooking and so on to let you select with. some need you to check the screen every few hour, some need you to stay ingame to gain level/something and some you just need to login every 20-24hour to check, so there are many kind of difference that suit your playstyle or gaming time. level here are not important,@@ what important is your gear. select one skill/craft you enjoy and suit your time , then master it,research it,maximize it and then you can upgrade your gear with no problum. few ppl here play at at casual rate, like 2-4hour per day and they still progressing. as for Tos, well, im play it during steam cbt, well, it quite good, but overall in my opinion, i think its more harder then black desert. Tos u realy need put effort to grinding, grinding and grinding and that all. still it quite enjoyable if you just want to casual play and only do the grinding. |

pretty sure the link i provide did mentioned the translation is taken from the EU alpha. EU alpha = NA alpha in theory although different server. Its just a 1:1 copy between EU and NA server thus the capability of them EU/NA players can swap between region on the fly.

Don't get me wrong, not that I hate NA/EU server but I see no point in forking out 30 dollar at minimum just to get into a game where I am limited to certain activities only. Imp quest is totally incomparable to other world boss where over 50+ people will spam all their fancy skills at once. As for WoW, imho BDO is quite ping dependant on both PVE and PVP part where itself is an action based mmo. Thanks to the lower ping here in JP server, I could farm Sosan (lvl 53 mob) just by using +5 agerian full set. Eg. Normal connection need 3 jump with each jump take 80ms that will be 240ms for u when you connect to game. When u use a vpn or wtfast, theoretically u will have more jumps in connection point. Let say it take 5 jumps to reach game server but each jump only take 20ms..that will be 100ms for you in game. This also explain why there are alot of server location for you to choose in a vpn software. So that you can choose the best route for lowest ping. |

i got some issue downloading the BDO JP version connected to Softether VPN (JP) -> created BDO account -> downloading the BDO game client keeps failing/disconnect?? are you guy have the same issue? do we need to connected to VPN(JP) during downloading stage? any quick link to download BOD JP full installer? |

If you're hyped for this game, it's all form and no substance, to be honest. I played when the game had only four main classes: warrior, sorceress, ranger and the Giant. The gameplay was a letdown really, the graphics was beyond epic, but look closer at the mechanics and it got draggy and meh.

For this game , I played it on jp server , there are 4 Classes that time , after jumping from argeage , my
Opinion is , great graphic , is like you Wana fight most of the time to see the stunning graphic and combat , I do enjoy a lot , but for the open world pvp part, kinda let down due to penalty . If you like pve, go for it . If you like open world pvp, just forget bout it . |

Ranger too squarish. . Can go for warrior or sorc or wizard/ witch.. ranger need geared just strong.. else....... warrior getting their awaken weapon today... sorc coming up next month...
Wizard/witch are range and good for pve/pvp/ war.. and no need high requirements on gear compare to ranger. Bad thing is.. they will be the last one get awakening weapon. |

Hey guys, started in JP Server Media since yesterday.
I think I'll stay in JP server instead of NA for 2 main reasons: 1) Lower Ping 2) Learning japanese Family name: 幻賢 Characters: Ranger 月矢 Valkyrie 守姫 I looked through almost every class, and I think I like the skills of the following classes: - Ranger - Valkyrie - Plum/Blader (undecided which one yet...) - Ninja/Kunoichi (undecided which one yet, there's some differences...Kunoichi seems can defend!! Not sure how nice is that.) Eventually I would want to have all of them, since I have 4 characters slot. But I would like to know which one I should level first. So, can you guys help me rank (Good, Neutral, Bad) these classes in terms of end-game activities? 1) PvE Solo 2) PvE Raid 3) GvG or Castle Siege Thanks! |

I must say, this is the first MMORPG where, after I spent like 10 hours online, and I am still level 5
The english translation is ...I cannot tahan... so I turned it off and rely on my very low JP proficiency and Google translate. This game really feels more lively than most other MMORPG, many NPCs and activities, almost like playing vanilla Skyrim online, with the vast land to explore. The graphics are real good...I like that when it rains my character looks wet. I spoke to every single NPC in the first village (Albia?), even played the flute mini-game, and the rented the gun from NPC in the first outpost (West Camp) after Albia, to shoot at birds flying in the sky. Followed some question mark to a Stone Crab...quite an interesting monster... The actions are near Vindictus level, less smooth though due to Ping. I can see that there's many non-combat activities ahead, where lag shouldn't cause problem. Overall, really enjoyed it thus far, and I am only level 13 after like 12 hours of play-time, haha. Several questions: 1) Due to lag, I think I will avoid melee classes...so that left me with only Ranger. I considered carefully about melee classes...probably Valkyrie is the only viable one when we have lag problem, because lag will kill those classes relying on high dodge (need to time it well)...but Valkyrie's block (always there until gauge broke) shouldn't be affected much by lag. What you guys think? Is there anyone playing melee classes from MY/SG, and still feel that it's manageable at end-game? 2) I am currently using OpenVPN, any particularly fast/stable VPN server to recommend? Or, do you guys use WTF or BattlePing as well? 3) Also, how do you guys deal with inventory space? It's so low I am already running out of space at lv13! Hello guys, i just finish download bdo japan, and get into the game for 1st day. then i got this error. i try lunch the game next day with chrome and nothing happen/no luncher appear
after clicking the gamestart. Then i try lunch using IE and i got this error. unable to open this helper ect.  Anyone know how to solve this problem. thanks Attached image(s)  |

I'm interested to play, however, if the game is provided from Japan, does it get translated to English, or everything is just in Japanese? GUI, subtitles etc.

Hey guys, what would you guys recommend to spend Pearl on, assuming I have 2120 pearls, for the best value?
Here's some brief description about my playstyle: Currently playing on JP Media server, lv22 after like 9 days (lol), doing a lot of PvE/crafting/fishing/learning-the-ropes, not rushing to high level, or rushing for "end-game". I am more of the enjoy-the-journey type. Right now mainly playing solo, as I am still learning the game, won't want to slowdown any other people. But I totally won't shy away from group activities and PvP, definitely planning on doing group-PvP (raid/siege) in the long term future, I was a big fan of Shadowbane (if anyone still remember...). Spending most of my time on Ranger right now, but still undecided between Ranger vs Valkyrie as my main... I don't mind spending time and energy to slowly achieve something (instead of instant-gratification), and tend to avoid dealing with RNG, if possible. Anything to minimize/remove the nasty RNG element, I would consider worthy, because it saves both time and resources. Right now, I plan to buy myself the following items: 1) An inner armor which +1 luck, to help with RNG. 2) A 500 pearls aesthetic outfit (well, can't avoid looking at those pixels anyway, might as well make it adorable). 3) A spectacle/head-accessory which +10M sight range (love sight-seeing and exploration). 4) Going to maximize my character slots. That's all I could think of right now...I am still newbie, not sure what's wise to get, like: 1) Should I get a pet? If so, which one would you recommend, utility-wise? 2) Any furniture/horse/boat/whatever only obtainable via Pearl, and is highly regarded in utility? Example, there's a red-ish fish costume which can make you swim faster and increase fishing skill+speed, worth it? |

Hey guys, currently playing in BDO Japan (switched over from KR recently) using openvpn + wtfast and been getting around 200ms via JP6 server, the ping is quite high compared to what I experienced in KR, any good vpn that you guys are using that gives lower ping?

For those using MUDFish right now, just wish to know how's the user experience?
I am mainly concerned about: 1) Ping. What ping you are getting? 2) Packet loss. Do you experience things like, clicked but no response, pressed but no skill comes out, or lag spikes? These are all indication of packet loss. 3) Availability and stability. Does the server disconnect/restart often? I would hate if it disconnects in mid-fight which I spent scroll... Please tell me both the positives and negatives you experienced, thanks! |

After 2 years of hiatus from any MMORPG, Im finally back innit! And giving this game a go. Just installed it yesterday and trying today.
Any recommendation? Or server I should join? (dont even know the system is server based on what lol). Anyway looking forward to meeting some of you guys! |

Need some advice...
Now I only have 1 pet: penguin. I saved up 9mil now, I am trying to buy one of the following: - Maid Outfit (buying parts by parts) - Another penguin (so that I can level 2 up, then try to fuse them for higher tier penguin) - Another different type of pet, maybe Hawk/Cat. - A good weapon...which I am not sure what 9-10 mil can get? I am using the quest weapon right now. Wuddacha think? Which ones should I buy first? If weapon, any good ones to recommend? And how much silver usually required? What's the ultimate weapon for a ranger? Or perhaps I should get a set of good armor instead? Can't make my mind up because I am still lacking knowledge about this game...veterans, please help, thanks! |

Boss armor need to do boss scroll(not disco). boss weapon from open world boss. my suggestion is, enchant ur current gear up safe enchant (armor +5, weapon+7), save money for +15 weapon n armor of ur choice. Do hourly quest for free accessories (ring earing n necklace). If u want to try ur luck in enchanting, u can enchant ur gear urself. |
