QUOTE(skyline100 @ Oct 31 2015, 11:44 PM) What bachelor degree title are you holding? Bachelor of Library Science. Librarian job is limited. So I have to find other jobs that not related to my study. So far I'm quite lucky because already got a job. Some of my friends still jobless and working temporary as Sales Assistant at shopping mall etc. Before this I got a Call Centre job twice but I reject both of them because it's too far from my home and the salary they offer is lower than this.

QUOTE(Brandon323 @ Nov 1 2015, 06:33 PM) Out of curiosity, why do you choose such a degree? And what do you study? One of the main reason because this course doesn't have any Math subject at all. Basically in Library Science course I learn about dealing with library, resource centre, learn on how to deal with information, I learn about Record Management and a little bit about IT. So far that my ex coursemate they managed to get a job in HR, Customer Service, Library, Records Management and also in IT line.

I see. No offense meant, this degree is not so useful in current society. I mean, it's too general and not practical enough. If you don't like math then you should have considered management, communication broadcasting, logistic etc. Anyway it's a little too late now, and if you work hard enough you can perform well in any sector. But that's just my 2 little cents.

QUOTE(BacktoBasics @ Nov 3 2015, 03:28 PM) others maybe might give different answers.. for me, with your working experiences, you can double up from your current salary. around 5k. but still depending on the company you are going to work later, and most importantly, the discretion from HR. HR will try to reduce you expected salary since that is one of their KPI.
