just curious, so many ppl reported here so high. But when i take a look on jobstreet's salary report, is far way below than what is reported here.
Wonder if we have a compile salary report of LYN's salary smile.gif

Come on.
Freshies mba in bcg or mckinsey are earning 4-5k USD. What makes you think 25k is impossible? Given you are the creme de le creme of your ivy leagues.
Yeah he's definitely don't belong to the normal Malaysian income proportionate graph.

Guys!

I need some opinion on salary increment from O&G sifu!

Recently i got an offer from an O&G consultant company. so I want to know how much should I negotiate for my offer compared to my current job..

Current job:
3 years experience (offshore & office)
Major O&G Client
Permanent
Operation/Maintenance Engineer
Limited benefit
More or less +-5k basic salary

New job offer:
MNC consultant O&G
Reliability & maintenance engineer
Office job (unless called by client for site visit)
Benefit is still a bit unclear
salary: ???

I need to know how much should I negotiate and request for the job salary. I dont have that experience of jumping yet.

any opinions? biggrin.gif

i agree with you. Consultancy does not carry a job title call 'product manager'.

Totally agree. When I started working I thought it was hard to get more than 5k by just 3-4 years of working experience. But now I'm already earning more than double of that with just stable basic salary excluding commissions, allowance etc.

So yes, it is definitely not easy but achievable. Not just me, a few of my friends who managed to become the key performer of their company and got multiple promotions within few years time have achieved more or less the same thing.

Jobstreet is a bad reference point as it is clearly for the masses. The prime cut of jobs will rarely be made available through such a platform. The better paying jobs are usually more niche and hiring managers will prefer to source for talent through more specific means, through a network or headhunter. An extreme example would be how Khazanah searched for someone to turn MAS around. Surely it wasn't advertised on Jobstreet biggrin.gif

not saying its impossible.. i am saying the nature of the job and the number of experience that is tied to it.

our champion is earning 25k in 4 years.. pls explain to me how is tat even possible... tat level is similar to a VP position in any company.

if i relate that title and pay to your statment with 5k with 4yrs exp.. 5 times the salary...... makes it puny no?

maybe u can share your salary and years of exp tied to it.
