Regarding your problem, you need to calculate like this. Else you consider "Rugi"
1 month = RM2000+RM1700 = RM3700
1 year = (RM3700 x 12) + bonus if got.(example RM2000) = RM46400
Average 1 month salary you got is RM46400/12 = RM3866.

So to jump, you can demand 20% that is RM3866x1.2 = RM4640.
Reason is : We calcute income base on TOTAL INCOME PER YEAR, not per month.. No meaning if basic you got is hight, but total income per year sikit.

Real example from me.
Basic RM3632. No allowance. But BONUS 4 month average. when i jump here is what i request.
(RM3632 x12)+Bonus (RM3632x4) = RM58112
Average per month = RM4842. (so if i jump, my next salary must be more RM4842. elso no need to jump)
What i get was RM4900 + 200 allowance..(jump to A company March 2014, Jun 2014 i jump to B company with basic RM6000). Same formula i use event just move to new company for 2 month, and they willing to pay RM6k base on fact.

I put reason A company give 1 month bonus.
((RM4900+200)x13)/12 = RM5633 average per month.
Jump RM5633x1.2=RM6760 (but B company give 6k since i just 2 month jump from A company)

Haha..tips? Sure all interview ask this question "why you leave your current company?"
Tips like this :
1- Dont talk bad about your previous company even your company really bad 

2- Dont say that you jump for money $$, or low increment, low benefit or any negative item. 

3- Safe answer for you want jump company are for future career. Give example to "Moving Foward". Give reason that positive.

4- another good answer- to upgrade skill/multi skill (if you do same job every day), upgrade knowledge, future career, learn new technology (if your current company is old thinking), want to move to management level (if already in technical for long time).

5-Not so safe if you answer about office location, about your team mate problem, transport issue, family. Interviewer will think twice about your answer.they will tembak you kaw-kaw..haha

6-if your company already good, Salary already OK, increment OK, bonus 4 month and so on, and interviewer say "kesian sama you punya company ks you macam-macam tapi you mau cabut" you can give your answer like this. " i give the best for company, company give the best for me. Then its win-win situation. He got what they want, i got what i want. So any problem?" .

7- If they psycho you, you psycho them back but in positive way.

P/s : Total interview i already go is 9,7 pass and 2 fail. 2 failed because that time i fresh grad - answer like budak2 that time..no knowledge..hehe

yup agree..but hard to get more than 4.5k since diploma.. Unless continue study and get degree. Degree + 10years experience = 6k maybe..

Is good to aim high. But honestly how many with degree can reach 8-10k?

8-10k is either manager/senior manager or professional with special skill.

Malaysia average salary range for 10 yrs experience yet to reach that high.

What can I said is those job in Jobstreet, Job central or other offer pretty low salary to fresh grad as agency will claim commission from them. Maybe after probation will do some increment which less than 7% even worse ask you to left because they believe there is tons of fresh grad coming out every year while they can hiring with same pretty low. instead of keep you and increase yours.
Those website is so easy to get job while easy to head hunt.

Currently present (1 year and 6 months), Company decided to put me into a new project (R&D) with new technology that are rarely seen in Malaysia market. Coming bonus (2 months) on this december.
Company 2:
New offer, increment RM400 (Less than 9%). Job scope is much better and is the right one that i keen and eager to learn with. Have to give up 2 months bonus, and 6 months of probation...

Do you guys think i should stay or leave?

Thanks for your reply, I am 26 this year, and to be honest, staying with my current company has a good advantage as the technology is quite new and i believe it might be a hit in malaysia market by next 1-2 year.

Lets forget about the pay/bonus/increment, Current Co. gave me the opportunity to work on the new technology, but mostly R&D, while the new Co. offer me an opportunity to learn something that i always wished to learn since i graduated from my degree life.
