hi guys, i just bought e3276s-151 with firmware version of 21.260.05.00.00 and pair with tp-link tlmr 3420 firmware v2.4 . somehow i installed three version of firmware from http://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/downloads.html yet still i failed to connect to internet when the usb dongle modem is plugged into the router. can all sifu please give me some helps on this ? i even flashed to the Huntsman 2013-10-12 / LuCI Trunk (svn-r9811) yet still failed to connect . my usb dongle modem works fine as it can connect to internet when directly plug into my laptop. on the other hand, can i know how to flash back to stock tp-link stock firmware? i try to flash back from openwrt firmware but failed. and i got this notification - The uploaded image file does not contain a supported format. Make sure that you choose the generic image format for your platform. I download the tp-link firmware from here. http://www.tplink.com/fi/support/download/...ersion=V2#tbl_j i wonder the connection type shown on the usb dongle there - RAR(modem) and NDIS. which one should i use ? or either way works fine ? |

If you USB modem is Hilink, it won't work properly most of the time. Try set it to NDIS and try again on rooter. |

Dear networking sifus, need your help. My main internet is from Huawei E5331 mifi. I have some devices which only have LAN ports. I have a spare TPLink MR3420. Hence I need to do bridging. E5331 > (Wifi) > MR3420 (LAN cable) > Any devices such as pc/laptop Can i use this method? http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=74 Please correct me if I'm wrong (based on the link above): [Part 1] E5331 IP remained at 192.168.1.1 while MR3420 will be 192.168.1.2 [Part 2] On MR3420, enable bridge and enter MAC address of E5331 per tutorial. The tutorial said repeat the steps on another router (E5331). I need to enable bridge on the E5331 too? I haven't check the E5331 setting page yet, and I doubt there's such setting. |

Skylinestar I never try this. Maybe you can try it.
MR3420 use WDS bridging which is easier to setup. But I pretty sure you can do it on OpenWRT. |

You can always flash to OpenWRT and configure it as a repeater. Google for steps |
