finally figure out that Openwrt Alttitude Adjustment can Mount Exroot to extend the flsh memory after a few testing and tons of command with Putty SSH/Telnet,.

successfully use partition wizard 7 to split my 4GB thumb drive into half ext4 and linux swap,

and config the mount point successfully with powered USB HUB + the thumb drive,

did able successfully to extend it to 1.87GB,...

and i able to load Luci-app-mwan3.ipk

trying to testing with that,. not sure which is the right setting, LOL,...

any linux pro can shed some light for me ?  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

as it is quite advance for noob like me biggrin.gif

just a dumb question, for the mwan to work on a 4MB mr3420 router, you are extending the flash using usb drive right...

and since you are connecting it through a powered usb hub, will the mr3420 detect both the usb flash drive for extending the flash as well as a usb 3g/4g modem ?

or do you plan to load-balance wan/lan only which frees up the usb port ?

he is probably using a power USB hub. thats the only way to get multiple USB port working on the router. luckily the original port on the router supports daisy-chaining.

i am currently using RT-N14UHP, the default firmware does support some usb-3g/4g modems, the asus firmware is based on openwrt but its nowhere as powerful and customizable as openwrt

no custom firmware for it yet (BCM5358) sad.gif

so i am planning to get a TP-Link in the meantime, i guess with WR1043ND you don't have to bother extending the flash because the mwan3 and luci-app-mwan gui can fit on the 8MB flash or do you still need to extend it ?

1043ND should be able to work properly with mwan3 without any modification of the hardware

thanks blacktubi, i also checked WR1043ND v2 also supports the 320U with Rooter firmware.

WR1043ND v2 has better USB Power so LTE modems should not be an issue i think...

and my Asus RT-N14UHP router, if it works fine with 320U as well...

(Asus RT-N14UHP + Sierra 320U) --- LAN cabled to --- (WR1043ND + another Sierra 320U (with Rooter/OpenWRT))

and MWAN configured to use WR1043ND - USB as WAN(default) and static routed LAN from Asus router as set up as WAN2 = Win ?

i have modem from Huawei E3276 attached to this router. by the way i flash this router with latest funnelweb firmware. my area has 4g coverage for celcom.

the problem is, when i connect directly the modem to my laptop i can get speed of 20-40mbps. when i attached the modem to the router, i can get speed max 12mbps. even though the coverage still LTE. is there any setting that need to configure to get real speed?

router is different from direct plug in USB,

u need to tweak router & modem facing angle, direction, make sure connect to same cell tower like u direct plug in USB,.. power adapter to router,..

and also some new mr3420 V2 board have issue on power supply,..

rooter is automatic bypass the old PPP dialing protocol method, so it wont bottleneck your speed,..

try to turn your router in standing, or different angle facing,..

and oh, Lan cable always better speed than Wifi connection too,.

all about feng shui !!

funnel web still have some bug issue,

if ur router is 4MB flash memory version, flash the last version huntsman is better, much stable,.

unless u got 8MB flash memory router, then funnelweb more useful

original power adapter is 12V 1A , try to change to 12V 2A adapter and see any issue still,

if issue still persist, you need to claim warranty, ( might be your router board issue )

Hi Kojie,
i've the same problem. to solve this, you need to flash the custom firmware from http://ofmodemsandmen.com/. i have no issue of disconnection after that.
