From my comparison prior to my purchase, i'd say the z1 display quality is between z/zl/sp and zu.

That's weird... Maybe some apps you installed is preventing the update...

If still can't, try factory reset, root and then ota again. You have already backup everything via titanium backup right.

Yes, your ap set maybe coming from hk. Hk fw by default comes with a few Chinese apps.

Sure can... But I myself also root using vroot. Successfully update via ota. After that only I change the supersu. No problem at all...

I think the heat is normal. So far I've been playing games for 30mins, the phone got hot but still Ok. But I'll never charge myphone if it's hot.

i have not use ipod b4, so no comment. but cannot compare to ipod la... different spec and different OS altogether....

haha... i see... even i didn't underclock also never face overheat shutdown/warning before.

on my laptop got few times la. after long use on my bed (due to heat dissipation covered), it got really hot and shutdown itself. but no harm done la

yeah... but still ok la... when too focus into the game... won't even bother about the heat anyway

yeah... i found out alot of people still don't quite understand this concept of compressing higher pixels pic to get sharper image. but of course it's more effective and noticeable in 1020 because it is compressed from 30/40MP down to 5MP. that's one of the reason the picture is so sharp. whereas for Z1, it's only from 20MP down to 8MP.

and from what i notice, never use superior auto. u'll get better pic using manual mode, but set everything to auto.

and yeah, i still do agree the software is killing the camera on the z1. still alot potential to be uncover with the right software.

yeah... i guess the chances of having nokia phone with android OS is getting slimmer...
