I think the heat is normal. So far I've been playing games for 30mins, the phone got hot but still Ok. But I'll never charge myphone if it's hot.

root it and control the cpu max freq to 1728.. bye bye to the heat~

I remembered on the Z forum there are tools on how to make the bottom and top bar black instead of gray. Anyone knows how to change both bars of the homescreen to black instead of gray?

At the end of the day i think its normal to have heat on your phone after heavy usage of apps such as games. I had the same issue when i used iPhone 4. No matter what device you use these days, all has this issue. Its the same as laptop and computers. It also gets heated up on heavy usage but the only differences is that laptops and computers have better cooling system using fan. Mobile phones don't have fans. And for the size, the only way is to create proper heat distribution and thats the best you can do. No matter how hot my device gets, its still bearable. Unless something is really wrong with your device.

Try ask resell market for Z1 and Note 3, which one higher price.
Sold my Z1 for less than half of the original price before i can top up to get Note 3.
I love the design, look and function however camera output far way poor quality than i expected for 20.1MP quality.
Sold both Z1 and Z Tablet LTE  , moved back to Samsung with Note 3 and Note 10.1 - 2014 Edition.
