if they can find a way to fit these in then it's good to see also. i don't like a phone with a camera bulge ala nokia 1020

i'm not sure. like i said, lots of rumours flying around. earlier rumours i read also said z1s is the international name for z1 mini. but later on some said it's not. some said it's a telco exclusive z1 model. now some said is z1 refresh. i myself also confuse

well, just to clarify la... all that i shared are rumours i read from internet. none are confirmed

yup. same here. in terms of loudness, i'm satisfied with the speaker. in fact i never turn up the volume to max at all. i just feel the clarity is lacking abit, especially when answering call using the loudspeaker. but when listening to music or watching movie, it is quite good to me.

overall still acceptable for me as well

ooo... nexus 5 is a must get if you like to flash custom rom. if not, there are both pros and cons on both phone.

this might give a better understanding on the latest rumours surrounding the z1s and z1 mini

apparently there r 3 variant of z1 rumoured

z1 mini, model number D5503, code name amami, is the one with 4.3" 720p screen and smaller battery of 2300mah

z1s, previously tot to be the z1 mini, now rumoured to be the z1 refresh. it comes with diff port and taller phone dimension. the 3.5mm jack are more centered

then there's the c6916, rumoured to be heading to t-mobile in usa.

this is the general step to root z1 at the moment. your phone have to be on fw .534 in order to root. if your phone is already on fw .257, u'll have to manually flash it back to fw .534, root and then OTA update back to fw .257

Flashing fw 534:
1. download the flashtool and install it in your pc
2. open the flashtool/driver folder to install the driver for Z1 and flash mode.
3. download the fw 534. Z1 FTF Mega Collection
4. open flashtool, click the "thunder" button, select the 534 fw, de-select the wipe data option
5. after the program run, it'll ask u to coonect your z1. then switch off your z1, while holding vol down button, connect it to your pc via usb cable.

Rooting:
1. download vroot / kingo root and install in your pc
2. make sure USB debugging mode is ticked in your z1.
3. run vroot/kingo root, connect your phone to pc and click the root button

OTA update back to fw 257:
1. make sure you have data connection on your phone, wifi will be better
2. if you have not receive the notification for fw257 update, run the update centre app. then just click refresh and update

i just installed this white balance. highly recommended for those who have been complaining about the yellow hue.

unlike those 3rd party filter apps, it really adjust the screen colour without adding a layer of filter on the screen. now my screen looks silky snow white

it's really not THAT hard once. after u root and install the recovery, installing any mods will be easy as 1 2 3.

unfortunately no. it's not an apps to be installed. this will add a white balance option in your settings, which need root and recovery to do so

i just found this in xda. i think it is pre-rooted 4.3 update and comes with dual recovery also

i'm not sure is this will solve your problem, but in some cases, doing a factory reset will solve the problem after a major fw update.
