I was able to get 11, almost touching 12 hours of screen time on my Note 2 back when I was on 4.1.2 on Perseus kernel which allowed me to underclock and undervolt.

initially language was in english w/o sim card, but after i inserted sim cards and did a reboot, the language suddenly become malay. is this normal?

now another quest, i need to change the screen colour setting. default screen colour is too yellowish. i believe is kernel related and i need to flash with other kernel.

Honestly i think i have tried 90% of all the ROMs available. VIBE ROM is quite nice but cannot use gravity box. So i have now change back to a Chinese base Stock Rom by Wuyu. This ROM has 400mb free RAM. Best ROM so far. I might upload it tomorrow. Just make sure you make nandroid backup when u switch ROM ya. Just change back when feel bored. Haha

ur SP flash tool driver install correctly? u can check at device manager once u plug in the USB cable that attach to phone. if come out with ? mark then need to right click and choose update driver to install it. oh ya, in this stage ur phone need to be turned off.

if driver is right then u may try other ROM or try use other version of flash tool. try each at a time to see which is the issue behind that giving u such error.

What is vcom? Something must be wrong on your side, I've managed to do the same thing on Windows 7 and Windows 8 (with some reboot nonsense for unsigned drivers) without problems. When you plug in the phone what device shows up now?

Are you sure your phone is off? It will not show in Device Manager for longer than 2-3 seconds if it working. the phone exposes that for a few seconds for the tool to hook on it, that's why your SP_Tool must be ready when this happens for it to work.

You need to do two things.

1) Install driver
2) Run flash tool to flash firmware

First one (install driver) you need to catch the device in that 2-3 seconds
When and only when the first one is done correctly, you run the SP_Tool before plugging in a powered down device.

This is explained in my XDA post (which i shared earlier):

If you messed up your driver installation before somehow, catch it in the same 2-3 seconds and uninstall the driver.

From the way you explained, with ADB device showing up and all sounds like you are not following instructions correctly.
