Really need some feedback who've tried flashing custom ROM @ needrom.com, because I flashed mine and causes soft brick and un-recoverable. Because my IMEI went missing, missing baseband too. Custom ROM that tried to flash is MIUI.

I don't dare flash any custom ROM already (w/o certified from XDA), because most of it are based on China ROM/baseband, flashing it over ROW (International) ROM will cause baseband/IMEI brick. Although Mobileuncle MTK tools able to backup & restore IMEI, but there's no guarantee it will fully recover back your phone. So think twice before flashing ROM, else you will end up send your phone to service center or having a phone that can't make calls. Just a friendly reminder wink.gif

I think this tweak is for 4gb only right? I repartitioned mine(4gb ver) using method from kaskus web. Check here, http://www.kaskus.co.id/thread/5272a51abcc...-not-an-option/ , there's another way to repartition 8gb. smile.gif

There is actually CM10.1, Android 4.2.2. And do you want to risk it? This is one of the comments... Exactly same situation as mine after flashing the ROM, reinstall modem won't fix.

Most of the CM are not Official. Plus it's hard to get based on ROW firmware custom ROM. I also don't know why. Better stick with Stock ROM plus some Xposed modding is already good enough. smile.gif

Neh mine is AP, send back to shop == ... So might need to wait a bit longer. Currently using Galaxy Grand ATM, mine sent to warranty because of wrong flashing. Thank god they accept the warranty and I just act dumb and say because of factory reset causes it. No IMEI, no baseband and can't make calls, data, SMS etc. doh.gif

P/S: Data always can't connect? Are you using U Mobile?

And I wonder, is it MT6589 is a weak CPU although it is a quad-core? P780 scores Antutu at 13000-14000 points, but my grand scored 11000 points, but it just uses a dual-core Broadcom CPU, how could it be so close? S3 Exynos scored over 19000-20000 points.

So conclusion is Mediatek produce quite low-end chipset compared to other brand quad-core?

nope i'm using Maxis... not cant connect but drop... then sometimes u refresh a few time it is ok...
but sometimes u need to on/off data or switch to airplane mode...

Is your phone rooted or no? If just fully stock just sent back to service center directly.

For signal dropping case. Maybe is incompatible modem version/driver used?

What app you mean by Lenovo Tool? You mean mobile uncle? To update to S123 ROM you will need SP Flash Tool to update your firmware.

Hmm, I am not sure what those app does. For successful flash, I'd recommend you flash it using computer via SP Flash Tool.

The IMEI and baseband is correct in factory mode, but I dunno why the hell it's not working in the system... rclxub.gif

Yes but still cannot, in service mode, baseband and IMEI also correct S135, just in the Android OS it shows up invalid IMEI and no baseband.
