Found a solution to prevent my power button being abused..

Link for Tap Tap App

This app work for me. So far no issue and hopefully it help others who does not use any flip case  rclxms.gif

Q : So far when inside pocket does it on-off unexpectedly?
This app turn on the sensor intermittently or more like always On when screen is Off. Therefore, maybe..maybe use extra juice. Dont u think so?

So far no sudden on-off happen when in pocket. It wasn't that easy to unlock, practice needed.

who cares about juice when they use P780.to answer your question, yes the sensor always on.. let me it use for few days to test
*
Last time while using A830, I used an app 'Turn Off The Screen' to reduce 50% power button usage.
With it can only turn Off the screen by clicking its virtual button.

My first post here. I have got the P780 since October and all this while had been using the
P780_S135_130917 ROM believe to be for the Chinese market. At first was confused with
all these ROM version S135, S306, S119 and later after some read up I understand that
S306 for Unicom and S119 for International. A quick question to ask the expert here if
I flash to S116 then to S119, will it solve my contact issue (unknown city) as shown:

Thanks
*
Yes, it should be.
Just curious.. how u could 'tahan' using Unicom flavored rom for all this while without going bonkers?
Anyway.. bright side is nearby ady. nod.gif
Flash to S116.

Haha... but I did not successfully push the V6 supercharger to the phone... duno y... will read the XDA thread again n see how...
but until now the speed for the phone is still manageable for me...
*
P780 performance isn't bad to start with; in fact I was happy and glad P780 zipped thru all my requirements. Can say almost no lag and best of all NO powerbank needed for a full day usage. Even 1hr or maybe few hrs Real Racing 3 is no sweat. Try la on other phones. Almost all would cry for charging 2-3x daily.

doh.gif Since u say still manageable (as if kurang happy after seeing my P780?) then its high time u V6SuperCharge urs. Mine 100% supercharged ady, urs bila lagi?

V6SC not easy to comprehend but really3 worth cracking head getting it into ur phone. Its like feeding Spanish Fly to a kampung girl..!! The thing is, u fall flat b4 she does at end of day but she still can up down..up down. laugh.gif

With V6SC, I no need worry memory management like limit multitasking, wipe cache etc anymore. Now all done by V6SC script.
Take ur time to finally get what u sought for. nod.gif

hey bro, i need help as I have been reading and  I'm quite confused now.

As I need to back up my stock rom, i need to root before I scan back up the stock rom right?

But i read from the thread is that, i need to install cwm in order to back up the stock rom, that means I need to it root it first.
If on a later stage when i need to send back for warranty, I can restore my original stock rom, go to farmaroot and unroot it, but the cwm will still be there and it will not reset the counter right? rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
1. Read & understand the purpose of rooting.
2. Root ur phone (got few methods. Choose one)
3. Optional but highly recomended - flash CWM or TWRP recovery so that u may backup ur current ROM. This is often called Nandroid backup. This also serves u if anything goes wrong after flashing later coz u can revert back to ur prev state. I say optional coz u could also flash back stock rom using Flashtool when needed to make the phone gud for warranty claim. Recovery back to stock 3e. No need unroot 1st to do this. Its auto done.

Hope this could clear some air.

HOW TO RUN/INSTALL V6SUPERCHARGER

Part 1 - 47mins video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLG-At47wjw

Part 2 - 24mins video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVHaCbu3IDs

Take time to learn to apply this powerful script to ur phone. Really worth d time and effort! This V6SuperCharger successfully made my P780 significantly faster and smoother. My search for tweaks for my P780 has finally over. Im now contented. rclxm9.gif

Pls dont compare my P780 to a S3. Instead compare its performance to a non-V6Supercharged S4 is more appropriate! cool2.gif - prev Moto 8800X...........S3/Note2/S4/HO/A830/Note3/P780. Thanks zeppelinrox@XDA for this powerful script.

Alright will try flash to this SLXROM coming weekend. Hope it perform better than S119 in all department.
I actually like the battery status as percentage indicator instead of the old fashion type of battery level.
*
If it is just the battery percentage indicator u r looking for than u just need install GSam from Playstore.

Openn GSam Battery Monitor > Menu > More > Battery Use - Built In > Battery Percentage.

There u go.. Easy solution.

do help me test the gps, I can't seems to get gps... It just keep searching for location but will never lock on.
*
Check via Factory Mode > Item test
Make sure u ON gps.
On keypad, ####1111#
then item test > GPS test
In fact, here there are whole lot of test u could do besides GPS test. Very useful indeed.

If failed then go SC.

but isn't heat no good for battery?

Say if I don't mind taking long time to recharge so I choose to use lower output chargers(such as samsung's charger), it won't do any harm right? just longer charging times which I prefer over heating up my phone and feeling worried.
*
All power conversion will result heat. Why? Bcoz nothing convert with 100% efficiency. Simple way of saying.. Z input = xx stored + yy heat. So charging or even using ur handset will produce heat no matter what.

Yes heat is no gud to battery just as heat no gud to us coz make us sweat and smelly. Kampong girls not so much bothered with heat but metro sexy girls sure 'cair makeup tebal2'. The fact is we cant escape from heat. Just how much is is damaging. Fake batt is just like thick makeup girl.. beauty sure short live.

Back to either usb or pwr charging is better? Well, I think pwr charging is better bcoz not only faster but also less voltage fluctuation during charging. If u use less capable charger bcoz u want slow charge then the charger probably would chock when ur handphone trying suck more juice then its capable of giving. This would result in spikes and reduce effeciency producing heat although bit by bit during process.

Charging goes to tickle charging mode after certain % to prevent overcharging that can damage batt. Its ur hand phone which decides how to suck.. Ha.ha..

Sori my ramblings. Cannot sleep coz heat. Now AirCond on ady.. so gud nite. yawn.gif

ok I went developer options > engineering mode > location tab > YGPS > GPS Test > then what number should I enter for "Times 0 - 999" and "Interval 0 - 000(s)"?

or should i go "Location Based Service" instead of "YGPS"? and should I enable EPO under "Location Based Service"?

btw I found a help tips, not sure it works gonna try it later: http://www.gizchina.com/2013/07/23/how-to-...ediatek-phones/

Thanks for the help guys!

U tried testing ####1111# method?
Test successful or fail?

I c u tried Mobileuncle engineering mode instead. Sorry I'm not familiar with that. But if u have not tinker the GPS setting b4 this, then u probably got hardware faulty. No matter what adjustment u set it still won't work!

I like to flash to the MIUI version that you are using, but since you say that the modem is not stable, so I'm searching for the modem flash, but i found it already.

If I flash the MIUI version, doesn't the modem will also change?
*
I'm not on MIUI. Never claimed to be using MIUI.
I also never said stock modem not stable.
I'm so STOCK..!

okLM guys...
i got one question... i realize my phone has been switching from 3G or G to E network too frequently...
can any one suggest how to set the modem to hold long for 3G even network weak???

thanks...
*
Hey Mike, which network were u on?
Something similar happened to me b4 and was making my hair grey. High & low seek solution but finally found out it was network problem at that location not at some other. After UMobile fixed something at the 'tiang' nearby my mom's hse everything back to normal. To chk u need try ur phone at diff location

If still same than maybe need tweak some setting. But I have read somewhere this sort of problem could also be caused by antenna connection became loose..

Since when u noticed this regular switching?
Still on S119?

New Custom ROM for Chinese base released yesterday!!
It is based on ZTE VS5 if I am not mistaken, and is on Android 4.2.2 and can use Gravity Box as well! Most importantly it has Multi-Window function similar to Samsung ones!!! If you can read chinese I suggest you try!!

This is the link of the website:
http://bbs.lenovo.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=131757

And I have uploaded the ROM in my dropbox because I find Baidu cloud quite slow and keep disconnect itself, this is the link:

The screen is glass. Gorilla? Not sure coz it never roar back to me.
I'm not using sp and still not even a scratch.
W/o so feels nicer as finger glides naturally.
Also, when compared to one with sp, my display looks much2 clearer.

Hey, btw A850 is faster but cheaper.
-ve battery smaller.
-ve internal partition for apps only 2gigs w/o option to move to SD.
Screen less resolution but very nice nevertheless.
Lenovo really into the race with top makers.
